Have 2 Atlases with maxed skills. Now have an S model. Used to be able to go to another mech & trade XP for GXP & use that for new mech skill purchases. It seems now you have to pay a fee for XP to GXP with MC - which I don't have yet......

Is the only wat to get MC is by grinding or can you purchase it like you can purchase C Bills in store?

MC is almost exclusively obtained through spending RL money, though you can win a small amount in the tournament ongoing at this time.

XP to GXP has always cost MC.

Ever since they eneabled the option to exchange XP into GXP, it has cost 1 MC per 25 XP converted (1 per 50 on special sales).

You earn 5 % of your mech XP as GXP per match.

You do not grind for MC, only Cbills XP and GXP (at about 5% the rate of regular XP) can usualy be earned in-game

To purchase MC click on the golden MC top center of the screen in the Forums.
As others have said, you can only get MC through purchasing it for real money or by winning a tournament which has MC as a prize (they seem to happen about 4 times a year).

You mention buying Cbills in the store, you would be purchasing Cbills by spending MC however buying and selling certain Champion Mechs (the Jenner and Cicada seem to offer the best value, sell the chassis with all equipment) offer better MC/Cbill exchange rate than the Cbill packs (especially when on sale).

You've got a couple of things very wrong here, Thomas.

Transferring mech XP into GXP(global xp) has always cost a fee of MC to complete. This is one way you can use money to speed up the grind. Sometimes this fee goes on sale for half price, but it has always cost MC.

You can never grind for MC. MC is a currency you must purchase (credit card, paypal, game points card, etc).

You can grind for GXP, though. For every match you get 5% of your XP earnings as GXP, which you can use for pilot lab unlocks or for individual mech skill unlocks. Generally unless you have a LOT of GXP, I would save it all for unlocking your modules and pilot skills and not mech skills. Just play your Atlas S and earn mech XP on that chassis.
