I've been unable to get a stable connection since last night. I keep getting an "Unknown error" (very helpful, btw) whenever I try to log on.

Mine stays in "connecting" and nothing happens.

I'm having same issue. "Connecting.." lasts 3+ minutes then I'm suddenly at the logon screen again with an "Unknown Error".

I was playing a gam just 15 hrs ago. Haven't installed anything or patched anything since then. Dunno what happened.
