I don't think I understand all of what you mean here. Would this be a convenience purchase, or something that the 100% F2P player has no access to in the game? I like convenience, I dislike P2W

I actually like this idea, but I would implement it with restrictions. It seems like you get about 25% of the face value when selling things back. Maybe start the auction at 30% face value with bids bumping it up by 5% increments. Have the auction last a week. Keep the sellers anonymous. If it ever reaches 95%, its an automatic purchase. Credit the seller the sale price -5% face value.
This might prevent, or at least slow, undesired behavior while giving player's options and PGI feedback on perceived item / mech value. The seller gets more C-bills (maybe), but has to wait a week to get them (probably). The buyer gets his stuff cheaper (definitely), but might be outbid and has to wait a week. The Company Store will still do business, because most people want what they want
right now.
Personally, I would love to see some sort of online economy, but I don't think that's the direction the game is headed in, at least not right now. The Devs have very reasonable concerns about the kinds of problems that this can lead to. They seem intent on trying to do
some things, and doing it
right. Thanks all
