Don't know if you're serious, but yes they are. People seem to forget that buffing one mech is indirectly nerfing another and vice versa. When all mechanisms are being buffed, while some mechs get useless buffs, they are effectively nerfed.

I'm trying to figure out why the Kintaro got better quirks than the A1. because it's a medium? I honestly can't figure it out.

well tbh, if you see the "junkyard" camo pattern on the Founders Cat, i tend to think i know what PGI thinks about the catapult (or founders) :P

Cat got JJs, and that removes a quirk. In all honesty Cat should get more quirks for being overly large sized.

Anything short of x2HP on the A1 arms is fail. Seriously, two of the largest hitboxes in the entire game, which can be hit from every imaginable angle, hold 100% of the mech's weapons and have 10% of the mech's total armor.

The Catapult was one of the best mechs back in beta, now it is a joke and quirks will not change this, there are far better heavies.

oooh that's too much munchkinism for even my tastes. I could have been satisfied with 10-14 more structure much like the HBK's hunch, and/or 10 more armor, but that's about it. I think that's between a 15-30% boost.

That's because of Hit Box issues and Missile nerfs. That ended the splatcat and made LRMs a minor nuisance for experienced players, it just started collecting dust on it's squishy squishy torsos.

I get that it gets less perks. I was talking more about the percentages for the ones they got. Kintaros ar 15% while the A1s is only 10%.

K2 is not getting any PPC quirks. The mech was designed to carry them and it gets medium laser buffs instead.

Currently the best CPLT builds involve AC10s and UAC5s. And they work much better on a Jagermech.

Since you can make a 4xLRM15 JM6-A with launcher hitboxes 4x smaller than Catapults there really is no use for a catapult.

Just take Jagermech instead.

Sad but true. My Cats are rusting in the mechbays. Will stay like that too till I figure out some strange build thats fun and dieing doesn't matter.

KTOs got 15% on LRM5 only, and 7.5% for the rest of the missiles. A1 got 10% on all missile tubes and types, including SRMs. Still not enough though... ...shoulda been at least 12.5%

As much as I wanted PPC buff quirks for my K2, the ballistic buff will work just fine. Dual A/C10s with a range module (490m~980m), cooldown module (12% better cooldown), and 10% increase to ballistic cooldown quirk (total cooldown improvement of 22%!) will make for one dangerous mech. That is a fast firing long range A/C20.

Yea, right, the Catapult is dead :rolleyes: :)

It's worded that way on purpose, it's a known meme. It's a joke. You just lost the game.

Secondly, I agree that some of these quirks need some work, but let's not try to be too negative, guys? It's just a first attempt, and I'm sure that if they aren't good enough to raise some mechs out of the graveyard then they will be worked on in the future.

I'm hoping to see PPC + SRM quirks on my QKD-4H as well but I'm not holding my breath!

Yea, take the Jager with it's slower movement and poorer torso twist performance, Oh and taller wider stance. Second thought, no thanks.

For dual A/C10s, I prefer the Catapult K2 hands down over the Jager. Now if your carrying bigger ballistics like the dual A/C20s or Dual Gauss then fine, but for A/C10s though, give me the Catapult.
