When the demo for Forza 3 was released, I went out and got a force feedback wheel. I practiced with it for a week, but my lap times were still seconds slower than when I used the standard controller. The wheel, though designed for the game, just didn't work for me.
When MWO is released, I'll likely try different controllers. But I'll probably start with keyboard and mouse.

Side note for those buying new gear, I suggest getting the extended warrentee. While usually not worth it IMHO, in this case it was a good idea. I went through 5 flightsticks in two and a half years with Mechwarrior 4.

Though, I was doing some looking around last night and saw the Razer Artemis and immediately started to drool over it. I doubt I'll play enough to even come close to justifying spending the absurd amount of money it will probably cost though.

However, to be totally accurate, I'll be using Joystick AND Keyboard. Much fun, the 'feel' of a little command center, but only fun with the joystick involved

If anyone wants to get me that Logitech flight control setup though I'll use it exclusively, swear.
