Your right. The names and mech data should be sorted by lances and put in boxes in the upper left, upper right and bottom of the screen with lines pointing to the mechs. Preventing the data from being overlapped while still letting you know how bad a fur ball it's turning into.

Color coding the lances would be beautiful.

It's the same with pressing Q outside of the map - sometimes can't read a thing because everybody's names are on top of each other.

When a DWF or lrm boat on your team yells "help i'm being light swarmed" and you can't find him because the map is a mess, it's a problem. =P

There are mechs on the map, somewhere. Really, what more do you want to know?

Just one more thing that was better with 8v8.

Not that it was amazing then, but it was almost useful.

The map is only useful to see where you spawned in relation to the rest of the team. Otherwise, it's just "this be map, there be mechs somewhere".

They probably should have hired a competent graphic designer.

Easy fix, just tell your team to spread out over the entire map so you can clearly see their information.

I turned off the map info the first time I saw it. So pointless how it currently is.

They probably should have hired a competent project manager. Someone who saw the "completed product" and immediately saw that it was trash and nixed it before it hit "the shelves".

Every problem in MWO ultimately reflects upon the Project Manager.

What you DON'T use the map???
"Here I'll just willingly deprive myself of vital tactical information because whatever."
MWO community never ceases to amaze.

+1 on color coding lances. Great idea.

technically what you are looking for is a UI designer... They share some skills but a UI designer is a much more specific skillset.

Beyond that you are just rude.
