Not playing for the ladder this time because it is the same awful score formula like last challenge. No big deal to get the cockpit item but that's it.

They lowered the threshold to 130 at least...

Yep, and that basically means some players can't participate without leaving their units.
And I highly doubt this is what PGI wants.

So my forum thing is Ghost Bear while my unit is unaffiliated. I hit opt-in and it looks like I have no way of changing my faction from lone-wolf on the site.

Are people like me just shafted? I'd much rather have a Ghost Bear theme item in the event they win than dog tags.

The threshold is not the problem, it is actually quite easy when you need a score of 200+ for 10 games to enter the scoreboard.
What I mean is that the lack of "most dmg dealt" or "solo kill" in the formula leads to annoying kill stealing habits and too much stress. And I don't give me the same grind again, when you could have a dozen nice games, where others get the kill or you lose and it is not counted.

If you really want to take part as a Clanner, the only options are either leave your unit for the time being or write a support ticket and hope they react in time.

Other than that there is not much you can do.

That seems to be the latest trend. Weekend-buster grind tournaments.
At least this one does not give you a red cross if you fail.

Well, I went ahead and send a Ticket to have my unit faction changed. And they did so in less than 10 minutes!

Kill and Assist should be scored the same... as it should have been on the challenge last weekend as well.

And a joke too is... get a 12 men stomp drop 11 men can farm assits and dmg and the last one get the kills.. easy push into the ladder.

Yup. This is so going to happen. The sad thing is, it'll be rock paper scissor in competitive groups to see who gets to have the "deathstar" this time so everyone else can farm damage and get 12 assists.

Strip them, leg them, leave them for the clean-up Jenner/Firestarter.

This would be less of an issue if they put a cap on group size you could drop with in the challenge (say no more than 4-5) for dropping in group queue.

The other issue of making the assists worth more is it will encourage people to have that 1 ER large laser just for sweeping across the entire enemy team to farm assists. I touched everyone? OK, time to "disable" some mechs.

Clarification question for PGI: do you have to win to be eligible for c-bills?

Also, qualifying for c-bills isn't tough, but the formula is unfair.

0 kills + 2 assists + 1350 dmg = 130
0 kills + 4 assists + 750 dmg = 130
0 kills + 6 assists + 150 dmg = 130
0 kills + 7 assists + 0 dmg (lol wut) = 140

1 kill + 2 assists + 1200 dmg = 130
1 kill + 4 assists + 600 dmg = 130
1 kill + 6 assists + 0 dmg = 130

2 kill + 2 assists + 1050 dmg = 130
2 kill + 4 assists + 450 dmg = 130
2 kill + 6 assists + 0 dmg = 140

3 kill + 2 assists + 900 dmg = 130
3 kill + 4 assists + 300 dmg = 130

Assists being worth more than kills makes no sense. Please adjust the formula to 15 for both.
