Enjoy the 9 ERPPC Dire Wolf?

Well, I was just thinking...

This

9 ERPPC "Direstar" does up to 90 damage to a single component (Perhaps add a LBX10 for a little more power)

Although the SRMs require you to get in close not only to hit but to minimize spread, it seems like this little friend can bump the instantaneous pain to a new potential of 121.6 DMG!!

In addition, heat does not explode as much... You can go and destroy multiple people without melting to death!

121.6 is small potatoes. Try 124.6...

No need. The amount of ammo it can carry has already taken care of that for us.

3 alphas. On the fourth, you can only fire 1 AC20 and you don't get a full load of missiles. After that, you're in a slow Awesome.

Well the goal here is to dish damage as instant as possible, LPLs have burn time.
In fact, another lpl can fit when armor is taken off, or smaller engine and single hs. Dire can do maximum damage stat the best with clan lpls!

I run dire so much, nothing is too slow for me! :-)

True, kind of a joke build.
However, you can reduce armor for more ammo or other modifications if so desired.
Remember that the goal here is one hit kills to the face! 3 shots for 3 kills is quite generous, and even though low ammo means not much longetivity, remember that those whom you splatted can't do anything when dead!

Yeah, I was thinking about it.

ERPPC Direstar has a pretty long range so engine doesn't matter too much, but this is tough. You'd have to get in close.

First alpha immediately overheats it for 30 seconds. Which can be enough time for it to die.

People are theorizing that after a third alpha IF it can survive the second one (It probably won't. Even the surviving the first is debatable), and fire off a third, AND survive that one. Then it will have nothing left to do.

Well I've run a 8 cERPPC dire wolf for Lolz, and I went 4 alpha's before I died, from my core being self nuked.... but putting 8 cERPP's into the eye of an atlas was worth it!

I ran that build on the -B so I could have 9xERPPCs. If you're going ham, might as well go full ham.

It can survive at least 2 alphas. so it's possible.

Although. I honestly think the DWF survives because it breaks the heatscale so hard, it stops working. Tell me if this has happened to you, but for me, after firing an Alpha. I power down for about a minute or two, and then I power back up, but my heat is still way over 100% for another 20 or so seconds. No mech should be walking around while reading a heat of over 100%. Much less walk, take aim, and fire.

That's why I do 8, with 5 tons in heatsinks, 1 ton in TC Mk 1...

When I finally get out of overheat, I'm usually at 99%....

I haven't toyed with anything this ludicrous even as a joke build. Do mechs not receive internal damage ticks when manually shut down? I'm assuming you tap override, fire, then immediately manually shut down.

Also, 2nd best thread evar.

Not sure if there's bonus heat damage from being powered up, but shutdown mechs do still take heat damage.

NEVER use Override with silly builds like that. Override deals more damage to the mech.

We just fire the alpha, and the mech shuts down because we jump to something silly like 250% heat. Let it cool off while powered down. If you use overrided, I don't think you can survive the first alpha.

KGC-0000

You're welcome. (128.60)
It's all about that extra hardpoint.
(Personally, I'd take 2 ERLPL, and 2 ERMPL, then use the extra 3 tons for more ammo, for normal shots before you bukakke their face. Example: KGC-0000)
(Or, you know, for a better engine xD KGC-0000 [Note: It's using a standard engine now, yaay!])

I proudly present to you Surprize BOOOOMM 133,6 Damage up close and personal... Now with more speed and an extra LPL for that little bit of extra WupWupWup sauce on the side.

Armour not included in the base contract and must be bought separately.
