What happened to the St. Ives Compact? They should be between the Cappelans and the Federated Suns/Commonwealth.

House Davion made good on its long awaited dream to absorb them.

And absorbed them.

I am going to go ahead and assume Kai Allard-Liao is now leading the newly established St. Ives March for his Prince?

The St. Ives Compact is an ENEMY of the Capellans. They are allies with The FedCom. In several years Sun Tzu Liao will start a war over reclaiming the compact. If Rasalhague is on the map, the compact should be too.

Nah. St. Ives wasn't nearly as important as the FRR. Besides, why break up the playerbase any more?

How was the FRR Important? It exists only to be steamrolled by the clans simply because they didn't want to steamroll Liao.

Funny you should say that. According to sarna.net: the FRR was only reconized by Steiner and Kurita. They let it form to give eachother a smaller shared border. The clans would have returned from that direction anyways because the Exodus Road was recorded as leaving in that direction. St. Ives was written in because they wanted to leave the Cappelan State on the verge of Collapse. But St. Ives saw themselves as LIAO, even though their leader married a Davion. Only the St. Ives Military, which received support from Davion, was resistant to being in the Capellan Confederation. The average Citizen just wanted peace.

And now thanks to the efforts of our brave mechwarriors they will have it.

They are wrong. In the novels in 3057 when the 2nd Star League was formed the FRR was accepted as a full voting member and their leader was the First Lord of the Star League at one point via votes.

Well I have to say the clans do know something about claiming to be liberating saviors while really just being unwanted invaders.

Simple, St Ives is allied with house Davion, Capellans claimed the territory as their own, we intend to liberate it. Unlike some people in this discussion, we actually are acting on behalf of a legitimate ruler. ;)

I was kind of wondering that myself: while allied with Davion, the St Ives Compact was a separate entity, at least on the maps I had.

And Davion and Steiner shouldn't be able to attack each other because we're the same nation.

They are a separate entity in name but not really in reality.

1. Candace Laio is married to Justin Allard. Yes, the Justin Allard that is the Son of Hanse Davion's Spy Master and brother to Dan Allard of the Kell Hounds.

2. The St. Ives is defended in the Lore by FC troops.

3. Kai Allard-Liao, the son of Justin and Candance goes to the NAIS ((Fed Com University)) ends up training with Victor Steiner-Davion and basically serves as Victors 2nd/body guard all through the Clan wars. Even seeming to give his life to protect VSD from a JAde Falcon Head Hunting Star.

4. The Kathil Uhlans are the ones that pulled Candace and Justin out of the CC during the 4th succession war. That's a Davion unit who was tasked with saving the greatest spy in Davion history who not only completely destroyed half of House Liao but also turned the Leader of House Liao's daughter against him.
