In the title, we need a web based real time CW map, or even just the 15 min updates

The API files update every 15mins. The PHP is not dynamic but you are one refresh button press away from the current known postion.

There's been a fair few apps created by the community from the CW API, including ones with live maps - I've linked them all https://mrbcleague.com/cw/

I got tired of just viewing static map images, so I quickly threw together an interactive map and deployed it here.

Keep in mind that it is running on some free cloud server (Heroku to be precise), so it loads pretty slowly if no-one have accessed it in a while. Be patient while it's spinning up ;) Also, I'm sure there are lots of bugs.

When it's up and running, it's pretty fast though :)

The source code can be found here. Feel free to fork and modify it for your own purposes.

Did you reconfigure the deployed app? I checked the Heroku URL a few days ago but it doesn't work now.

I see you've updated the repo a bit though, so perhaps it's still a WIP :)
