BTW, am I breaking some forum rules by posting that?

(because I think PGI allowed the leak to test how the members will react to the ECM hero)

EDIT: removed the Shadow Hawk and Locust leak post - I don't want any problem.

Not a leak when it's on Reddit

Edit: Just visited the first post again. So I've got two months to save up for my Mad Dog? Oh yeah! Just bought a Timber Wolf. I'll use that as a test bed for tech and learning the differences between IS and Clan units.

Until it is officially announced, sharing it can be considered a breach of the NDA, even if you are not the first person to do so. I know Bishop got permission from Russ about it, but it is still not a good idea to post things like that without express written permission. Better safe than sorry.

OK, updated the list with more suggestions. I'm pretty proud of it.

Let's make this reach the developers.

I think you should stick to the Comstar theme of the next IS pack.

I think its confirmed Black Knight and Cyclops. I think that there is no need to draw on any of those 2 variant chassis for that pack as there are viable and interesting 3 variant mechs that fit fine/better.

Comstar / ClanBuster pack, IS strikes back
Cyclops(A90)
Black Knight(H75)
Sentinel(M40) or Wyvern(M45)
Mongoose(L25)

Crab(M50) as reinforcement or bonus mech (ala Mad Dog).

The reason I put Crab as bonus is it has more curbside appeal but those other two mechs offer tonnage amounts that the IS stable needs variety in a lot more than 50 tons where we have 3 lines and lots of variation.

***

You next clan pack (King Fisher/CB/Firefly/Hankyu) is exactly what I expect. It seems so obvious that I wonder what the surprise will be as I doubt PGI will follow such a predictable route (see: putting the Enforcer in the game over all the other mediums that had 3 variants and fit timeline).

I am indeed. Believe me, I've tried to ton-up, but I just can't.

Shootist would make a good Comstar heavy. Very rare outside Comstar

What about the Excalibur? It's 70 tons and it has 3 variants at 3050. It will need some love in the wepons layout department, though, as it only carries a goose and LRM20A for the most part. I personally want MY Excalibur in but like hell that will happen.

I didn't include the Shootist because it has only 1 variant in the timeline. Not to mention it is currently extinct.
But is it a possibility? After the Enforcer, I think any mech is a possibility.

Me, I like the big ones. 75 tons is the lightest as it gets (my preferred mechs are Dire Wolf, Banshee, Victor, Orion and Timber Wolf)

I'm pretty happy in my Banshee 3E, running at 60 km/h, making any assault scream for cover.

But wasn't it Sean from No Guts No Galaxy that posted that? Doesn't that mean he had to have permission?

I do not go on Reddit much, so I am not sure, but while NGNGS has a lot more access than us commoners, they are not actually a part of PGI. They may get permission to do things, just like any of us technically could, but not even someone inside PGI can post information that breaks an NDA, which is the whole point of an NDA.

Well, Sean Lang has the PGI's faction icon...

Yeah, I saw Bombadil does too. Not sure how official that is, to be honest. Regardless, an NDA is an NDA whether they are in the company or not.

No - the Reddit post in question was originally made by "Former_Squirrel" (a former tester who has retained a special pre-production-material test client despite no longer being part of the testing team, and is apparently able to data-mine the updates that the client still receives & produce screenshots of pre-production 'Mechs, maps, and other things), not Sean Lang.

You can already do the weapons configuration on the CN9-A. The Talos itself went extinct during the Reunification War.

Actually I wonder, with the inclusion of the 5P Enforcer, will PGI soon release guns and mechs from mekpak way long ago? That is sweet if they go back and release stuff like Warlord (Fatlas with JJs, and dual ballistic torso guns), Tenchi (Machine gun boat), XT mechs (Argus + Thanatos + Vulture II), Warthog (is it Mektek made?), and every other mektek mech that I'm forgetting atm.

Just got reminded by the sexy Talos, which would be such a hardcore dpser in this game. Ultimate Jager.

Warlord would kick balance in the face. Warthog would also kick balance in the face, being a 95 ton jumping variant, and the only limiting factor is the hitboxes and how fat it really is (Wider than an Awesome and a Nova side by side). Tenchi is the big version of the Piranha.

Something that they do need to address is the actual business relationship between NGNG and PGI. NGNG is producing various types of content either for PGI or using MWO to produce content. Mostly due to more recent guidelines and regulations from the FTC that states that any media content that is sponsored or otherwise paid for in any way by has to be fully and clearly disclosed at the start of each piece of media content.

If NGNG is not part of PGI then NGNG needs to be giving proper disclosure. If NGNG is a part of PGI then PGI both parties should be making it clear that such is the case.
