Hey guys!

Recently found about MekTek's release of Mechwarrior 4: Mercenaries with all the MekPaks included. I downloaded it, and attempted to use the MTX installer found here:

http://gamingsession...-actually-work/

However, when I attempt to run/install the MTX installer, it says:

Component Visual C++ Runtime Libraries (x86) has failed to install with the following error message:
"Fatal error during installation. "

The following components failed to install:
- Visual C++ Runtime Libraries (x86)

See the setup log file located at 'C:\Users\Tyler\AppData\Local\Temp\VSDCC00.tmp\install.log' for more information.

Said log is here:

I found out that this is an issue installing Visual C++ 2008. I try to install it and get error code 997 (overlapping I/O error occurring) and dont know how to fix it.

Would really love some help!

When you run it, you need to run it as Admin, right click/run as Admin.

And I believe it is 2010 version that you need.
