T-Bolts were at the bottom of the barrel since they came out. Now people are actually play them. However I have not seen a 5S even with the perks. I hope they do not, they are fianlly in a decent postion

Hope not, they are one of a few mechs that decimates the stormcrow/timberwolves formations in CW.

I don't think they'll nerf them much, if at all. I've seen so many "nerf the clan mechs, they're SO OP" threads now, even just counting the ones since CW started, and they haven't been touched.

Been using my 9S for the last several days. Its nice being able to actually stand for 2 volleys against a Mad Cat. Course after that I am light up like a christmas tree, but at least I did some damage.

God, I hope not! I just bought two new Tbolts last night (I had one I had gotten for free several months back)

Thunderwub SuperSport is a hell of a loit of fun, and it's amazing to have something that can go toe to toe with a Clan Heavy mech with an IS standard engine

Which would mean that the actual OP mech in this case is the T-bolts, not the Stormcrow/Timber Wolf.....just saying.

I would say no, they won't be. There was a second quirk pass and they were barely touched, I'd say that PGI is happy with where they are atm! Buy away, I bet you'd be glad you did.

You quoted a pretty severe over statement. Nothing decimates SC/TW formations.

I'm not 100% sure why people are complaining about T-Bolts, especially the Thunderwub variant. They're knife-fighters in most cases, so of course they'll rip apart anything they get near outside of dedicated brawlers.

They're also pretty wide, so it's hard to miss them. Apply damage directly to the forehead and they come apart like any other mech.

The current quirks are the only thing making Thunderbolts playable and only 2 variants at that.

The 9SE and 5S aren't there yet.

There is a 4xLPL build for the 9SE that is not awful but you'll have to use an XL, and there is an ok alpha build for the 5s that is tolerable also 2xsrm6a, 3xml and an ac10. But yeah these 2 variants aren't as nice as the others.

Buy it... I rocked them PRE-Quirks and owned with them...

You have to learn when to push and when to pull back with them... Also, remember they have wide profile so practice shield arming in a Centurion to perfect torso twisting PRIOR to buying...

All in all, I still own them all, everyone mastered and totally my favorite IS heavy.

They already nerfed the ss im sure they will nerf the s next. As long as people keep crying about it they will do it. Just like they steapth nerfed the firestarter hiboxes.

Rest assured that the Thunderbolts will never see a nerf, it is the Awesome of the heavy weight class. However the quirks assigned to the chassis may change. In fact based on how popular the chassis is right now compared to every other IS heavy, I'd expect some significant changes and soon.

I would say go for it. When i first received the 9s as a free mech i didnt think much of it, I had to really go through every little combination to make the mech work. But once i did, i had loads of fun. Its all about picking your battles. I dont think it needs a nerf at this moment. Id say let things continue, see how it preforms further in CW and go from there. No need to go and nerf something so soon just because there is a very small outcry about the mech being OP. The fun has just begun.

The Thunderbolts have already been through 2 passes of quirks. That tells me that the plan for the T-bolts are settling down.

They may nerf the 9S a bit. They already nerfed the 5S a bit for heat, but it wasn't much.

My guess would be that there won't be major changes to the T-bolt quirks, but it is possible there could be some small changes to any extreme quirks to just be very good quirks.

One thing the Thunderbolts all have going for them, is great shield arms.
If you use them, you can tank like mad.

The 9S with triple ERPPC for 22.5 heat? is pretty nuts.. could use some tweaking.

5SS medpulse feels pretty good now, runs pretty hot, good brawler.

Only seen a handful of 9SE's playing, but they seem to do pretty well.

Really haven't seen any 5S at all, dispite having dual ballistics and some pretty nice laser quirks.

After these quirk passes, all the thunderbolts are in a pretty nice place IMO, they were never "bad" mechs but more or less in the mediocre bin.
