Recently from what you can see on the faction map, it's less than 300 players in the critical 2 hours before cease fire. Which is pretty friggin sad, considering the whole universe has been waiting over 2 years for this to drop. Maybe we will suck in a few hundred more from Steam soon. Who knows?

Lolwut?
Each planet can hold 180 players per side, so that's 360 per planet and usually the 2 planets on the Davion/Marik border are full to capacity. So just on one border alone, your guesstimate fails.

You are claiming that the marik/davion worlds are so full you can't enter the queue? or do you just assume 60+ really means 180+? if that is so than no one should ever have a prequeue time longer than 2 minutes and a queue time of less than 1 minute.

It is difficult to measure using in CW tools. The box in the upper right maxes at 60, anything above that shows as 60+. Thus you can never tell is the 60+ is 180, 61 or somewhere inbetween.

Sunday morning. 2am EST. There were at least 150 people doing CW. I happen ed to look while dropping. As was said earlier, 60+ can mean a lot of different things. Plus remember that yoy can only see the queue numbers for the planets your faction can drop on! My guess is thaat we have TOTAL across the time zones somewhere in the range of 10,000 players using the CW aspect of the game.

I didn't realise MWO was going to be released on Steam. When is that happening? Hopefully that should increase numbers a bit.

HEY...

Unless its a ghost drop i dont wait more then 3 minutes for a match....and you can quote me on that sir.

We had over 112 people in our TS for some time last night and that is just members from 3 units. (DERP, SA and 267)

So i think your maths is way off.....

What are you blathering on about?

The player count only displays up to 60, anything over 60 is displayed as 60 + and can be any number from 61 to the entire population of the world for all anyone outside of PGI knows.

The fact that you say you never wait in queue very long unless you get a ghost drop is a strong indicator that the planets map queue can not be at max capacity.

You are merely making assumptions and claiming them as factual, I am merely pointing out that the facts we have simply do not support your assumptions, and that you don't have any facts besides the player queue is at 60+ to support yours and roadbeer's conjecture that it must mean over 360 players are in the queue.

I have yet to see anywhere that says there is a limit in the queue....please show me a reference.

Also i was stating HOW MANY WERE PLAYING CW IN OUR TS3 server....has NOTHING to do with PGI's BS queue numbers. If you had some reading comprehension you would have understood that. Nothing i stated was an ASSUMPTION if you even know what that means. I was giving you ACTUAL NUMBERS like how many player we had participating in CW in our TS and how long i wait for matches.

And just because i dont wait long has nothing to do with how many are in the queue you obviously dont understand the MM so we will end this convo here.

Reading comprehension is a blessing i guess....

The few of you doing CW, have fun!

cuz no matter what YOU or PGI tries to do, UNTIL MWO has like 10,000,000 MILLION PLAYERS (like some other popular video games online) no ******* "Match Maker" or anything will be able to Queue up players as Fast as or How you Want!

Start holding your breath . . . .

Btw....since a territory can only be fought over by two teams at any given point, Roadbeer's reference makes sense frok, the standpoint that only 360 total can be involved at any point. Since we do not know if PGI caps the queue at that number or simply lets the overflow cycle in, we cannot know if there is a limit to the queue or not at this time. Thats just an assumption by some.
