In Liao space, the highly educated population attends school as long as needed on the state's dime, with the only limitation on anyone being their own will to succeed and ambition. However, in Davion space, most mechwarriors are child recruits as young as 11 years old, stolen as tariff from their families to feed the capitalist overlords who run the show in FedCom space.
Recently, Liao has succeeded in naturalizing the refugee populations on planets recently overrun by Davion citizens fleeing crushing poverty and inhumane practices of the Davion government. But where have the poor, oppressed child soldiers of Davion gone who were harassing and murdering their own people just weeks ago?
According to one Davion source, they've gone to school!

Yes, school! Demoralized by defeats day after day on the Liao border at the hands of Tikonov Rangers and Birdwarriors of the Word, as well as the impenetrable and stalwart defenses offered by Liao turrets, these troubled tykes have evidently been getting uppity for their commanders and begun entertaining ideas embraced by the citizens of Liao, such as free speech, glorious socialism, and true freedom. As a result, it looks like Davion "top men" have been forced to send even the indoctrinated child soldiers back to receive an "education" in industrial era work camps Davions think pass for "schools."
While the children of the ultra rich Davion elite travel to Sarna and Steiner space to receive expensive collegiate educations in return for beefy paychecks, the slave children that pilot Davion mechs have to attend subpar institutions where they are doubtless beaten for any expression of opinion. Sadly, this is just another barbaric aspect of Davion culture.
Our beloved Chancellor, whose divine mercy radiates to the very edges of the Inner Sphere, again extends his generosity to any Davion children who are able to flee FedCom space and welcomes them to indulge in the bounteous riches afforded to those who would fight for Liao, where Space Communism meets Space Riches!
