Literally.

While we were fighting on the Steiner front tonight, when most units would have been discussing tactics or organizing their decks...

We had 12 grown men in a TS channel talking about the best way to grill corn on the cob.

I know it's meant as a joke, but there is a lot of truth to it. Marik is not just a collection of random people there to play big stompy robots, we're a true community and that includes swapping recipes ;)

It's not a joke, I'm dead serious, that conversation happened.

Oh I'm sure it happened exactly as you've described, I've been around our TS server :)

It steam cooks the kernels, and prevents the moisture from escaping. Plus it protects them from the flames.

The corn literally pops juicy goodness when you bite it, exactly the same way that charcoal doesn't.

You can salt shucked corn and it helps a bit but not much. If you're going to roast it in the husk though, yeah. You just snuggle that bad boy in the fire and it heats, caramelizes the sugars in it without breaking the kernels. Makes it stupid sweet and juicy. All that's missing is soaking that bad boy in butter, deep frying it and then wrapping it in a pizza. Then deep frying all of that in doughnut dough, then covering it all with sprinkles.

Cuz there's no reason to be a ***** about it.

Keeping the husks on grilled corn is the best I have had. We tried corn in foal on the coals of a fire and it is basically the same thing.

I just did that a couple of Days ago with my Christmas Wild Boar Recipe. It raised the Morale when we've been under constant Attacks by Davions ;)

Okay, first off, if you're gonna make fun of the Blue Fisties...make it a fat finger sausages joke. Chowder? C'mon.

Secondly roasted corn is amazing. Take 2 dozen, soak them in water for maybe 30 minutes, then throw them onto a wood-fueled grill. Letting them soak lets the temperature change at a slower rate and prevents blackening any of your kernels. I think I flip mine about every 9 minutes, depending on the heat of the fire...just long enough to let the bottom husk get a little crispy :)
