I've maxed out my catapult C4, and I'm really looking for another great LRM boat to grind. Any suggestions as to what's the best boat?

JM6-A Jagermech and KTO-18 Kintaro are my two personal favorites, but I know there are some really great Stalker and Awesome LRM builds as well.

Something with LRM10 imho and GGG is right - the HBK comes to mind with its "Uberquirks".

For options with mediums, another one to look at is the TBT-7M with it's 40% cooldown boost, the HBK-4J has 50%

And there are a handful of options with certain assaults.

Here's a great LRM guide (it's a bit of a read, but lots of great info in there).

http://mwomercs.com/...-guide-book-11/

I don't have the Hunchback, but I've seen some players do great things with it. Seriously though, I cannot speak highly enough of the KTO-18 when played carefully. I've had so many great games in that thing.

the BLR-1s with an XL300 engine, 4 ML, 2 ALRM15s and 2 ALRM10s works great as an LRM boat, I have done a redesign of for CW, doing away with one of the LRM10s in favor of additional ammo.

The best LRM boat is the one you do not bring to the battlefield.

With the new quirks the Treb 7M is certainly fun for an LRM15 mech, I took one out for the first time this morning and had a great match, only problem was that I ran out of ammo when we still had 2 mechs to kill :) could be worse.

I see you say Cat C4, you could try the A1 6xLRM5 with artemis build.

Also it appears you own the phoenix overlord package so the BLR-1S would give you a taste of assault LRM carrying.

4xLRM5As in a Griffin 3M with a PPC and a Tag used to be fun, but its not really quirked for it.

The Kintaro KTO-18 has some suitable quirks and hard points for a medium LRM5A boat these days.

Treb 7M, hands down, with the quirks and the module, having a pair of LRM15s on chainfire produces continual fire with no delay.

Having said that, while LRMs can produce incredible numbers, their actual effectiveness is pretty low. Try moving up to direct fire weapons, you might like it :)

4X ALRM10
4X ML
over 12 (14 IIRC)tonnes of LRM ammo
tag.
stalker 5S......
Big nasty XL engine so you can spam those missiles untill the lights come for your butt!
almost always get 1 to 2 kills in first 5 minutes before my slowness becomes a problem.....ONLY reason to have XL is to run as fast as I can.

Maddog.
Can pakc 5xLRM10s (lots of ammo), Narc (1-1/2 ton ammo), 2 MLs.

you can SL yourself or drop ammo tons for MPLs or whatever.

Heat is very managable with missile group firing and the can be chain fired for a long time.

stay with the group, narc yourself a target and send em!

Golden boy is my second choice. 4xLRM5 + Narc + 3ML
GB has 12.50% missile cooldown and heat generation.

The C4 Catapult was my first heavy mech and I liked it, having said that if you want an LRM boat the champion Stalker is great. 4 LRM15s w/ TAG and enough defensive MLs. It is definitely a 'stay back and shoot' mech that can handle it's own once you run out of ammo.

Another +1 for the 8R. I run mine with a 300XL and 4 Lrm15. Used as intermediate fire support (300-600m from the enemy) that thing is death.

Awesome 8R
TORSO TURN RATE (YAW): 10.00 % TORSO TURN RATE (PITCH): 10.00 % ADDITIONAL STRUCTURE (CT): 20.00 ADDITIONAL STRUCTURE (LT): 10.00 ADDITIONAL STRUCTURE (RT): 10.00 ER LARGE LASER COOLDOWN: 12.50 % ENERGY COOLDOWN: 12.50 % ER LARGE LASER HEAT GENERATION: -12.50 % ENERGY HEAT GENERATION: -12.50 %
LRM 15 COOLDOWN: 12.50 %
MISSILE COOLDOWN: 12.50 %
LRM 15 RANGE: 12.50 %
MISSILE RANGE: 12.50 %
MISSILE HEAT GENERATION: -15.00 %

Hab 2. :D
