All loyalists to the great Capellan Confederation should immediately Que against Davion on Capella.
Currently they are attacking 50 to 15.

This is our home world.

Long Live the Capellan Confederation!

As of this writing Davion holds 86% and it is 50/7. Two won games ago (one hour) it was 56%. Me thinks the ghost is haunting us tonight!

I'll stay in the queue for a while; a few hours if need be.
ETA: only took me 8 minutes for it to fill up. Guess 6PM is the right time for it.

93% attacker wins. 27/6.

Won all defenses tonight.
They are ghosting to victory.
Pity.

Well, if PGI wants ghost drops and overwhelming force, ( which they claim are insignificant in the GRAND scheme of things ) to dictate the winner, then perhaps they need to adjust Laio payouts to attract more mercenary units? We go where the money is, and all things being equal fighting clanners is a great deal more challenging than Davion forces.

Well played, Davion, well played.
They were organised and effective with their ghosting but the play quality was poor.

I played 5 matches on Capella tonight with my unit...we won them all, but after we all go back to our real-lives, the planet was ghost dropped by Davions... end result: we lose another planet.

We totally knew this along time ago, We slaughter them on the daily, It's about time those lowly space dogs learn to win for once, Even if it is Honorless, skillless ghost dropping.........(let the poor scumdogs win @ something) They clearly need all the help they can get, after all the face punches weve thrown their way, they deserve to land at least 1 good shot/ before we continue pounding them into salt.

Actually the guys from Liao that bothered to show up last night put up a hell of a fight. Good effort, hard fighting, and fun matches. I enjoyed the hell out of those runs.

Still, the results of the evening force me to break out an old classic...

Pretty simple equation.

Can you get one more 12-man on a planet for a few hours than we can?

You win automatically. Grats. The current CW system has literally made a smaller opponent unable to fight back and win against superior odds, regardless of their quality. Consider that Davion can, as they did in the old days fight an undermanned (more worlds pressured per day) Kurita, Marik (actually a roughly even match), and Liao (easily numerically inferior) simultaneously.

Consider that last time I checked, we had more Liao players on a Kurita world defending it than on the Liao-snack-of-the-day....because there was actually a chance of having an effect on planetary control. Well, maybe. At 60+, you couldn't tell who had more groups on world.

It's no fun playing a game where you know you can't win. Ergo, you'll be able to ghost drop to "victory", and honestly if the game allowed I'd be swamping you right next to the Mariks, but for some reason we can't actually fight with our allies unless it's vs. Clanners...and then I get to see half a 12-man worth of Davions and Steiners fighting on a Kurita world for the lulz.

Because that's how big the population difference really is.

Enjoy the planets. PGI decided to re-enact the 4th Succession War with no-win scenarios.

As of right now CSJ is 60+ vs Kurita, who is 37. CSJ is one of the smallest factions in the game - they're just very, very coordinated.

12 extra players isn't actually enough to guarantee ghost drops. You'd need 36 v 12, which gives 1 ghost drop ~15-20 minutes. Only 1 turret drop queues at a time so with 48 v 12 you'd have
A12 v 12 done in ~20-30 minutes
B12 v ghost timer 10 minutes
C12 v waiting
D12 v waiting

So 10 minutes in, B drops against turrets. Takes ~2 minutes to get in and ~2.5 minutes to finish

That looks like this:

A12 v 12 ~10-20 minutes left
B12 v turrets done in 5 minutes
C12 v 10 minute turret timer
D12 v waiting

So in 5 minutes when B is done with the turret walk, it looks like this -

A12 v 12 ~5-15 minutes left
C12 v 5 minute turret timer
D12 v waiting
B12 v waiting

Now it gets tricky. Suppose the 12 defenders get out of the match (win or lose) in 5 minutes or less. They fall to C as soon as they re-queue; the result being that if they get in before the turret timer is up then C gets a drop and D starts their 10 minute turret drop wait. Assuming that happens it looks like this:

C12 v 12 done in ~20-30 minutes
D12 v 10 minute turret timer
B12 v waiting
A12 v waiting

Make sense? Huge numbers vs 12 isn't actually that efficient. An extra 2 teams is about ideal for efficiency.

What Liao needs the most is... more people showing up. If the 12man involved on the defender side is winning most the matches it plays then the net losses would only be about 1 'square' every 45 minutes. So about 4.5 hours of dropping 36-12 to get to 53%.

Which isn't what's happening; Liao is losing about 50% of the matches it plays against Davion, plus being outnumbered is costing them 1 'loss' every 15-20 minutes, so they're dropping a bit more than 50% in 2 hours. If Liao was even winning most of their matches they would be holding Davion nearly to a standstill. When there's no Liao showing at all they're losing 1 sector every 15 minutes to 24-36 attackers. More than that is just waiting and doesn't speed anything up.

Currently Liao is losing for the same reason Wolf is losing. Not showing up. Again, CSJ has a small population just a very well organized one and they're wrecking face.

I seem to remember leading a drop against you tonight... I could be wrong, but isn't your name on this screen shot of you losing in the second wave?

But don't feel bad. We won this opposed drop on Capella in far less time and you had nothing to do with it.

Does make the 'won all defenses tonight' statement a little hard to pull off when there's a photo of the rather efficient win we walked away with.

Be cool guys. Liao has some solid folks in it and some excellent units. Don't make drama over the sake of a couple of people. Populations ebb and flow, right now we've got the advantage. A couple weeks ago we didn't, we've only just now taken back what we lost in that wave.

Be cool, win or lose. It's easy to interpret the actions of one person as representing their whole Faction - don't get provoked by 2 or 3 people in Liao who are far from representative of their faction provoke you into saying something that someone else may misinterpret as representing all of Davion in a way you don't want.
