Who knows? When I get on this weekend, I'll put it to the test. Damn 14 med pulses though... that's a heavy alpha strike, more than able to kill mediums and possibly heavies in one hit.... yet the insane amount of heat kills the mechs mobility in a fight... shutting down »*»

Also those other builds are good too. Have to try them all out.

14 Mpulselasers in a single alpha will probably even destroy the Direwolf. but record it and test it for us, would like to see how many internal damage is taken, and how long such a shutdown takes if it is not killing you.

Sure, will do. I remember testing out the Dire Star a while ago. Fun, but not all the time. 9 erppcs to the face is meaningless if you die too... hopefully firing the med pulses in groups of 4-6 should help too instead of alpha all the time, the lbx was shoved into there to help it cooldown after a (possibly) alpha strike, or when heat was too much. Results to be sent this Friday or Sunday.

I use one with 8CMPL its quite a load of fun, but very undertonnaged I will upgrade it with 4 LLarge wubs when the new variant comes for c-bills.

Results are in!( Sorry but work comes first!!!) First, let's start with the heat. The Heat is not as hot as the Dire Star's heat, but probably around 140% heat with a alpha, compared to the 225% the Dire Star puts out. The Med Pulses can Strip a Timberwolf or a Highlander's armor in one volley, though you might want to override and use a coolshot quickly afterwards. Chainfiring helps too. You also can do groups of 4, 4, then 6. Aside from that the lbx helps while cooling down and fending off a few of those pesky lights that might want to nible on your circuits. Jump Jets Provide the extra manuverability that you need while moving with your team. The Grade for the dire Wub is a B+, for stopping firepower and manuverability. It's cons is that you'll always have to watch that heat. As for the Gauss Config instead of lbx 10 is only good if you like to snipe and such.
Next is the multi wub variant for it. The Different ranges is helpful for using variety, but if you want to alpha, expect a 150% heat explosion, a 8 second wait at most. it gets a B for variety, but a con for it is that it does not have the full firepower as Dire Wub, and the MGs don't put out the needed damage to fend for itself while cooling down. That is my report on it, any opinions on it that you think it's good (Only if you've tried it >< )

DWF-B <6x LPL> Now with more sustain. You might actually be able to avoid ghost heat with this one.

DWF-B <6x LPL> Now boating heatsinks, such meta. More cooling, if you don't mind mounting on the arms.

edit: seems like Tarogato had the same idea but my version comes with horizontal arm movement and CAP at the cost of one DHS B)

Why not 9 large pulse 5 medium pulse :)

I mean, you'll have about 1.5 tons left over to devote to silly things like heat sinks and armor, but...the wubz....

Indeed the wubz, the CT takes a considerable amount of damage, like the 2nd time you overheat in a Dire Wolf... yeah that much damage.
