Possibly one of my favorite mechs now. The jumpjets are actually quite effective and really good for helping it get around the battlefield. The higher mounted laser hardpoints are really nice. I don't often get +800 damage matches like I do in the -B, but I'll normally get 400-700. Has anyone actually had a bad time with it?

I had a bad time with them.

I keep hitting "Launch!" but it says I can't launch a empty mech bay because I can't buy the direwolf S for c-bills.

I'm sorry brah. I guess you'll have to wait for your DireStar.

I was rather disappointed with the JJ tbh - just feels sluggish in the air and gains height very slowly.

True, but the build are effective. You can do brawlers, long-range snipers, mix, etc. You can even do the DireStar!

it's still enough to help hill climbing and getting over tough areas.

Still fun to bring it up to the top of the hill on crimson straight and Tourmaline.

I wonder if the Direwolf S can make the jump over beta gate on the cold map in CW from the Hill ? Anyone tried it ? I just want to be silly and jump 4 direwolves over the gate one day :D

considering that NON jumpjet mechs can get over that gap. I think the direwolf S can have a chance.

I love the hell out of mine. I have been averaging 600 to 800 DPS. I kept the CLBx 20 and added an extra large plus. 4 medium pluses and the streak missiles have been left. Its nice popping over a hill or mountain and giving a couple ***** slaps before retreating.

Also i thought i would add something else. The JJs have given it a rather unpredictable use such as venturing up mountains that most would not expect someone to come from. It may take a minute, but it paid off for me taking out an assault and heavy and melting many others before eating ****. Some may just think its just an easy kill while trying to peak over a hill, but if used for flanking, it becomes a great ninja whale. Nothing more fun than giving some unsuspecting mech a "O Sh*t moment" when it is up around the corner, when they exit the cave.

All it needs is ECM and we'd finally have a proper scout mech on the Clan side.

Have you.... driven a Highlander with 3 JJs? It feels kind of like that.

It probably can. Why jump 4 when you can jump 12...

I would love to see a 12 man team of firestarters and direstars meeting...

Both having the idea to zerg rush over the gate and **** the enemy up. who will win?

And that mech is basically unused in 99% of matches. ;)

I've actually just added some jj capability to my prime for maneuverability nowadays.
