I have about 75 mechs. I only paid for the ember. In addition they are all mastered and I have modules for most of the IS weapons that I like. Given that I do not intend to spend money on mechs, is it even worth it to try to get clan mechs. Cbill earnings are pretty slow now. Are they worth their cbill price and the price to purchase the weapon modules all over again?

Yes. The Mad Cat and Stormcrow are in particular often held up as best-in-class. Especially if you're maxxed out on the IS tech you want, you should definitely pick up some Adjective Animal Omnimechs - particularly given your faction affiliation.

Regardless, you're going to need at least 4 chassis if you want to be a contributing member of a merc group that's allied with the Adjective Animals.

They only cost so much because they come stock with XL engines and upgrades. Once you buy those for an IS mech it comes out about the same cost.

Anyone else find it odd that OP has 75 mastered mechs and never once considered getting a clan variant?
That said, if you're a light pilot, you're not missing anything. The Dire Wolf is in a class of its own as well. Unmatched firepower and armor.

I wonder a lot more that he is CSJ affiliated while not having any clanmechs.

If the IS 'mechs are your first priority, it's very easy. I only have Kit Foxes, and that only because I figured I ought to try some Clan stuff to poke at the balance a bit and whatall. And that's with over 65 IS 'mechs on my account. I'm not currently planning on getting more Clan 'mechs until I've finished Mastering all the IS 'mechs I'm interested in.
Sometimes I'm oddly methodical.
