Heavy - Grasshopper

These are my favorite Mechs!
And best of all, they work well together in a lance. ;-)

Yo.

Light: "(Fire)Javelin" JVN-10F,
"Panther" PNT-9R

Medium: "Wolverine" WVR-6M,
"Swayback" HBK-4P

Heavy: "Catapult" any,
"Exterminator" EXT-Db

Assault: "Stalker" STK-3F
"Thug" THG-11E

Absolute Fav.: "Catapult"

Overall I seem to be drawn to energy based mechs, because they seem to be very stable in the TT.
Save the Cat, when I go to use Cats I usally take to of them an' have fun rolling a helllotofdice.

But lately I've discovered an odd fun hearing autocannons roar...
Maybe I'll run a JaegerMech asap.

Light - JR7-F Jenner

Excellent speed, good armor, nice punch [for a light mech]

Medium - WVR-6M Wolverine

The ultimate mech IMHO. good Speed (I just love 5/8/5), good armor, nice weapon mix, ample heat sinks. In one word ENDURANCE.
If this mech is encountered in semi-rough terrain it can hold the bay even against considerable odds. Slower mechs cannot catch it, faster mechs are outgunned/outarmored.

Heavy - TDR-5S Thunderbolt

The optimal mercenary mech. Can operate adequately in multiple roles (Fire support, assault, anti mech, anti infantry) and has a gun for all ranges (L-Laser and LRM15 for long range + running= no excess heat). Moderatly fast, good armored, balanced weaponary and heatsinks.

Assault - ???

I allways disliked assault machines. Slow and sluggish. They do not require much skill.

If I am forced to name one, I would tend to name the ZEU-5S Zeus for much the same reasons than the Thunderbolt, but being considerably heavier it offers less capabilities.

If we're taking in old school mechs, I prefer the Locust and the Warhammer. ....both of which look to be excluded in this game. The LAM's were also VERY fun to use in tabletop, if extremely expensive to field.

Figures, right?
