So far I have gotten all the clan packs. With the addition of new variants I noticed that their omnipods are not available. This got me to wondering how Omnipods become available since I've always had all the mechs up until now.

I know the C arem of the Kit Fox was available from the outset but are Omnipods restricted by the core mechs you own? For example if I only ever bought a Timberwolf-Prime would the C and S onipods be available?

Those new variants have them locked right now, but the rest should be available.

So far the only omnipods not available are the newest variants. Any omnipod should be available for any chassis of that 'mech with the exception of those newest variants - Like the TW-D

reinforcement mech omnis should be locked for a while.

As others have said the new ompipods are locked out at current, this is mainly because if thowe were available for cbill purchase PGI would not sell many of the new Clan Mech varielnts/configurations, those pods will be unlocked when the new Mechs become available for Cbills, so probably in 2-4 months.

however PGI have said if you purchase one of the new varients you can then remove the omnipods and transfer to any other Mech of that chassis type

So once the mechs are available for C-bills Ill be able to use those pods without having to buy the mech?

Yup, just like any other clan mech.

ok That's what I wasn't sure on. I only really want the Timber Wolf-D but ill be happy reconverting my C into it when I can get the pods.

They are locked to encourage you to try and buy them.

When released for cbills you can get their parts.
