Are you running in directx 9 or 11? I had issues with 11 so went back to 9, and have no problems now.

tried both and the same issue ... the fullscreen mode does that ... its like my graphics card downclocks itself ... running only with 550 mhz

Does it work fine in-game?
Do you need more than 30fps in the mechlab?

i have a gtx 650 ti 2GB windforce 2x overclocked to 1100Mhz with the latest drivers

Thats how vsync works - try turning it off. If you can't maintain an average of 60fps it drops to 30, then 15.

if you can sustain a 20+ FPS, you can play MWO just fine. One of my PCs dips into the teens and as long as I have an okay connection I could get by just fine.

Nevertheless, knowing more specifics can help.

Do you have a custom user.cfg? Many of those, especially if you have copy-pasted from the forums, have frame limiting commands.

You probably don't, if the problem is intermittent - but sometime's it's best to check everything.

Have you tried the repair tool?

Odd.

Do you have any game profiles set up in the software your GFX drivers runs? I know some games can have separate profiles created, and they can do wierd things with soem games.

That's a long shot, too.

You could always create a user.cgf in your game directory and manually add a higher FPS limit:

sys_budget_fps = 30
sys_MaxFPS = 60

If you don't see an improvement, just remove the code from the user.cfg.

Other than that, you'll probably just need to wait for the poor overworked guys in support to get back to you.

Edit: also, what are the specs on your Pixel Crunching hardware? Are you able to see temps? Have you updated your drivers recently?

I want to say 'MWO is downclocking your GPU,' but only really does that on 400 and 500 series for some reason.

Is this a constant, or does it happen occasionally?

I think I know what it is. It's an ancient problem.

http://www.reddit.co...max_mhz_ingame/

Try some of their suggestions. If you're lucky, you might find one that works. If not, then it's on PGI to finally fix their broken game.

Edit: the issue seems to be that MWO sometimes thinks it's a 2D process. Probably related to the HUD or mechlab.
