Do you need more than 30fps in the mechlab?

the frames are limited to 30 fps while in a match or in the mechbay ... at any resolution ... at any graphics settings ...

i have a gtx 650 ti 2GB windforce 2x overclocked to 1100Mhz with the latest drivers

Thats how vsync works - try turning it off. If you can't maintain an average of 60fps it drops to 30, then 15.

Nevertheless, knowing more specifics can help.

You probably don't, if the problem is intermittent - but sometime's it's best to check everything.
Have you tried the repair tool?

Do you have any game profiles set up in the software your GFX drivers runs? I know some games can have separate profiles created, and they can do wierd things with soem games.
That's a long shot, too.
You could always create a user.cgf in your game directory and manually add a higher FPS limit:
sys_budget_fps = 30 sys_MaxFPS = 60
If you don't see an improvement, just remove the code from the user.cfg.
Other than that, you'll probably just need to wait for the poor overworked guys in support to get back to you.
Edit: also, what are the specs on your Pixel Crunching hardware? Are you able to see temps? Have you updated your drivers recently?

Is this a constant, or does it happen occasionally?

I think I know what it is. It's an ancient problem.

Try some of their suggestions. If you're lucky, you might find one that works. If not, then it's on PGI to finally fix their broken game.
Edit: the issue seems to be that MWO sometimes thinks it's a 2D process. Probably related to the HUD or mechlab.
