If you're having to look at that kind of horror, I can understand why you need so much alcohol. Then again, since her daughter married Hanse Davion, I can understand the haggard, wasted face. Must be rough having your son-in-law invading his wife's country.

Thankfully, our Chancellor has weathered the storms of state better, even at the respectable age of 58.

58 is practically 30 in terms of battletech, though.

Wow, and with those faces you wonder why the clanners went away from IS and invented Iron wombs to multiply.

Some of the art in the sourcebooks especially the early ones are pretty bad. By all accounts Katrina was quite striking back in her day, but at the time of the Clan's arrival she had been dead for 10 years. Melissa Steiner is the Current Archon and is considered one of the most beautiful women in the Inner Sphere. Omi as well. Remember those were portraits, not photographs. I seriously doubt Pablo Picasso's models looked exactly as they did in his paintings.

His parents were DEAD by that time. That's like going up to Bruce Wayne and asking him when his parents are going to cut him off and make him get a job. :o

Other than Jeff Laubenstein and Timothy Bradstreet (really cool guy) FASA had HORRID artwork 9 times out of 10. Most of those portraits look like Geier's work who passed on in the 90's.

Yeah, Geier was the usual suspect when you saw something that looked like a toddler had been given a pen, an 80s rock magazine, and a sheet of tracing paper.

I actually met him at con, He was a nice guy too. Looked like he drew. Got him, Bradstreet, Baxa and Laubenstein to autograph my 1st ed Shadowrun hardcover.

Too bad that book is long gone now
