So, what builds have you loved running that other people hate? super cheesy, one trick ponies, 32kph LRM boats, etc... Whats your favorite troll?
...
I prefer a non-lethal TROLL spider with 12 JJ :P

When the traitors which give away your coordinates to the enemy have angered me too much, I often use it to hide my powered down mech in a place too high for any other mech to get me :P

The next time I get some Internet Hero whining about team performance in a low-Elo PUG game, I'll drop in a dual-Gauss Blackjack:

I added a flamer as a backup weapon, though, to make it a well-balanced and reasonable build.

Any double-gauss mech is a good kill stealer. I once got 5 kills and ~200 dmg with a double gauss crab from all that FLPPD which gausses are so good at.

Based on pure troll quality the classic 9 Flamer HBK-P. It's just a hard one to beat out.

But on troll-fectiveness that would be the 6 MG 2 LPL Arrow. Really nothing like throwing up 1k+ damage scores in a 35 ton mech.

Being April Fools day, I feel like I should let my troll loose.
SDR-5K
FS9-K
RVN-4X
BJ-1
HBK-4J
HBK-4P 1 "Mini Wub"
HBK-4P 2
BNC-3M "Wub-a-dub"
DWF-A "Mother of God"

If you switch the HBK-4P's engine out for a standard 275, switch out the PL in the arms for ML and a SL in the head,
along with getting rid of the heatsinks,
you can add a bap and troll hard.
I've a few 6 kill games and a few 800 damage games with such a setup

I have been using something similar!

And 4xGauss DWF build has been common for me since its release.

Well the Arrow has to be a 'serious' troll build, the 9ml/9spl hunchie. The streakmando and Streaktaro and any mech running LBX because everyone goes oh noes an LBX fool.

So my votes for the Arrow but i'm also really enjoying the spambrand: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...ef01f22ddf14992

and the firefail (yet to actually properly try): http://mwo.smurfy-ne...16c813aebe2b762

Behold, the 'Mech that makes Direwolfs feel like a Heavy 'Mech and undergunned.

The Urban Atlas!

47 tons of weapons (excluding 6.5 additional tons of ammo) moving at 32 kph.

Most terrible and hilarious accident when 1-button Nova with lots of MG and Flamers got my laserboat.

I used to hate this mech to core, trying to Master the vanilla Locust was just a huge pain in the beginning and ELO MM gave you no breaks.

Now quirked... It has become a nice troll mech as you can see below.

I will coin the name... Luuugin !! ^_^

Dual ERPPC & 6 MG Jager. When i killed a new K2 pilot with he he commented how he couldn't believe he had been killed by MGs, this was prior to the MG nerf though, haven't tried it since.

One of my absolute favorites. Not sure if you'd call it a troll or not, but whenever any teammate sees you driving a Locust, they groan. Of course, everyone ignores a Locust...

4-AC5 King Krab with a PPC.

The equivalent to an AC20 firing off every 1.32 seconds (with modules and skills.. down from 1.66 seconds) and the PPC to give it that extra bit of "oomph".

Reviving this thread as I'm am planning to celebrate the day of our Lord Urbie, by spreading its teachings across those willing in my 'Mechbay. One of such is one of my two Loyalty Atlas S. It's mighty STD200 shall guide the children into a better future.

This is my first mock-up, but I think we can do better.

You can, indeed, do better.

Same weapons.
DHS upgrade, giving better heat dissipation.
Engine upgrade, also giving better heat dissipation in addition to better agility.
More ammo.
Same weapons - but they can fire longer and more often than before, so even they are upgraded.

Only downside - less armor.
Upside of the downside - it's better distributed. Until PGI fixes Atlas hitboxes, arms don't soak up much damage naturally. You can MAKE them soak it up, if you wish, but otherwise? Most of it goes straight to your STs.

Obviously, adjust the front/rear torso values as you prefer. But arms don't need much armor on the Atlas. TBH I don't usually run more than 30 or 36 on Atlas arms, and hardly ever lose them. I only made an exception on this specific build due to how much firepower and heat dissipation you're carrying in them.

Legs need more armor than arms on the Atlas, but still not much - most players have learned to immediately aim for the RT of an Atlas once they see it, so your legs are still relatively safe. Compared to other assault 'Mechs, though, your legs do get targeted a fair amount. So don't go below 60 on them.

Having a laugh in this at the moment. The just quirked right anti light and scavenger mech.

Currently running it with flamers instead of spl. Yes really and you'd be amazed at its crit seeking mightiness!

Hobo with a Shotgun

Ilya with 3xLB10. Armor heavily biased to the front. I just keep waddling forward and fire the LBX on chain fire (alpha on open internals). Eats ammo but makes so many mechs turn and run. Sooooooo much fun
