I can't help but have the image of a DC pilot stepping out of his mech, taking off his coolant vest and having a tech toss him a microphone.

"FINALLY.... THE DRAGON has come back to.... Kentares IV." Followed by loud music kicking in.

That's essentially what's happening right here, in this thread. The most electrifying House in Inner Sphere Warfare is back.

"Can you smell.. what the Dragon.... is cooking?"
-> Points to crowds of former citizens being hit with mech flamers.

I remember when Davion was a powerhouse, rolling into Kurita Space. "Remember Kentares," they cried.

It seems rather forgotten now. Anti-climatic. Which time zone did it flip in?

Shame. Was looking forward to fun focal point to fight around.

Perhaps from this, a new cry for remembering Kentares will ignite our classical enemies once again.

So, the Jags gain a DC planet that no one bothered to defend, and the DC gain a Davion planet no one bothered to defend.

I can see why this victory is so sweet to you. I guess.

Flipped this morning EST. When I saw it at 100% with 30 minutes left, I said 'meh' and went back to the regular queue.

As for exciting battles, I'm a little nonplussed what your expectations are. If you're not bothering to defend your border because it isn't fun, why are you surprised other factions are showing the same behavior?

Might I suggest a count down?

"Non-Draconis Combine people left on Kentares IV 87 Million."

Next Day...

"Non-Draconis Combine people left on Kentares IV 84 Million."

Day 3...

"Non-Draconis Combine people left on Kentares IV 80 Million."

Your ignorance has ensured your demise, clan Davion. Your capitulation will be swift.

That is where you are mistaken, fallen Clanner. We fought many Davion pilots on Kentares last night, however their defense so weak that we destroy Orbital Cannon in less than five minutes each time. Ha Ha Ha

Great idea. With each passing day, superiority of noble Combine memes and humor become evidently clear to many Fed Rat civilians. As they embrace superior Kuritan lifestyle, assimilation become easy.

Of course when you burn them to death it becomes easy to assimilate them as fertilizer.

Lads I would be careful, some of your comments skirt dangerously close to events in the not so distant past for many Western hemisphere countries (and you come across as d***s to boot). I realise the age and experience of many maybe a little young and short but be careful.....

IMO playful banter and ribbing is one thing, political and sociological badgering something else.

Actually, lot of Davions queue up to defend world last night. At least six nodes contested by Davion pilots, plus one counter attack.

Davion forces to be credited for attempting to defend Kentares, even if defense not very effective.

The Kentares IV purging is an event that happened in the Lore, So comments about it are on the same scale as say the Clans bombing Turtle Bay.

Davion history books claim that enemy combatants were universally beheaded. What a joke. Kuritan hanzo-endo steel can only decapitate 10,000 militants before its blade dulls, and they claim that the Draconis beheaded 52 million? ISF investigation still underway, but I know they will find Dear Coordinator Jinjiro to be a victim of scoundrels' words.
