"Ogle" has a different definition (although often related to "googling") but are similar in nature.
Are you sure about that? I had never heard the word google before google the company existed, and I have yet to find a dictionary that gave a definition of the word google other than being related in some way to google the company. I assume you are thinking of the word goggle, which does involve looking at something/someone.

As do I so I will just assume you are thinking of the word goggle rather than google which was only added as a word to dictionaries back in 2006.

Do you even know what VOIP means?
Everyone capable of googling will pretty quickly end up here:
http://en.wikipedia....i/Voice_over_IP
It means "Voice over IP", which is meant to distinct communication via internet protocols from traditional telephony.
Using that term in an already all-internet-based architecture is just redundant, non-informative and therefore confusing.
What YOU want to express is "Voice chat" or "Ingame voice communication" or something like that.
Calling that "VOIP" is like saying "We are using cables". Of COURSE we are using cables to transmit the signals. And of COURSE we are using the internet protocoll to transmit stuff. That is not a significant description.
Similar to that horrible meta term that is used so ridiculously wrong by the MWO community (and ONLY here afaik).
I don't mean that as an offence, but is the age of Idiocracy, where most people can't think logically anymore, really approaching that fast?
Makes me fear the future.
What's next?
Calling keyboards "clickies" and monitors "lookwindow"?
Makes my thinky ouchy, seroli...serioll...serusly
Why is the save icon still a 3-1/2 floppy disk?

"Voice over IP/VoIP is a methodology and group of technologies for the delivery of voice communications[ and multimedia sessions over Internet Protocol (IP) networks, such as the Internet"
It's voice communication over the internet, so I think you will find the term fully cromulent.
