Mouse initially, then splurge on a new joystick, see if it's any fun.

HOTAS T-Flight Thrustmaster ($16.99 at some sites, $50 if you don't shop around).

Just ordered 4 Logitech 11BTN Extreme 3D Pro Twist flightsticks from amazon.ca, they are on sale and an excellent stick. Free shipping in Canada.

I've got a Naga also and am going to try using my X52 Pro stick for it, but it's been so long since I've played a mech game I honestly don't know which one I'll be more comfortable with.

You may want to wait till you are in the beta before you grab a Joystick, what if you can't throttle your speed in game.

Back in the old Mechwarrior days, my favorite combo was keyboard and Saitek P8000 for throttle and command entry, mouse for turret aiming, and foot pedals for turning my mech. The foot pedals were the big key, as it took a major part of movement off my hands, literally.

The Razer Artemis (http://www.razerzone.com/artemis) looks very cool, but I need to know what it will provide for throttle control, and if there is a foot pedal option.

Looks like there is some small throttle on the left side keypad thing.

I'm tempted to use my Steel Battalion setup, but in the end I'll probably stick to keyboard and mouse unless I really don't like the controls.

I am keyboard mouse guy. That has always been my style. This mostly due to the fact I don't use a variety of weapons.

Normally just energy weapons and maybe missiles. Just my opinion

I'm going to try my Cyborg X. The Challange I have though is, I'm Left handed and have had to train myself to use my Right with the Cyborg.

Razer Nostromo keypad ,Anansi keyboard and logitech m570 mouse are what i'll be using.

Definitely interested in that Razer Artemis. Hopefully it doesn't cost a fortune.

Much as I'd love a joystick + throttle, my desk is tiny so KB/Mouse it is. Not at home, so I can't tell you specifically what my hardware is (oh noes), but it's worked for me thus far (X3:Terran Conflict and Albion Prelude can attest to that....so many controls...).

I used a joy stick when I was a kid and MW2 was new. But I'd likely never be able to get back into that again. These days I'm too comfortable with either a mouse or controller.

I thought I'd be going mouse/keyboard for MechWarrior, but trying to torso twist while going back and playing older games was too complex. So I went out and bought a Saitek Cyborg-X joystick and I'm quite happy with how it turned out.
