I have always wished they would include melee combat in a MechWarrior game. Melee was in the board game and it was/is awesome. Since they didn't include it in MWO I decided to make my own mechs that could open a can of whoop ass.

Apparently, what is needed is to take your ingenious designs and translate them to real life for use in a mech fist fighting sport that totally will be the greatest TV show on Earth, and not the financial flop that Robot Fighting League turned out to be.

PGI programmers either cannot:

1) figure out the coding for melee combat between mechs, or,

2) they haven't figured out how to make money off it yet.

I would just be happy if they gave back collisions.

with the way how different latencies already make us stutter and warp aroudn when we have slight contact to other mechs, how do you think would melee realistically end? Also did any mechwarrior title ever have melee?

That was my point. There has been little in any of the MechWarrior video game titles other than DFA and collisions knocking you over in MWO. As for online implemntation, I have never played it, but I understand that Titanfall includes melee for their mechs.
