So far, I've tried the following three builds.

3 Ultra Ac 5s, 2 Ac 5s, 4 medium lasers.

2 ac 10s 2 ultra ac 10s.

2 er ppc 2 gauss


So far I like the Ac 10 build the most.

Anyone got better ideas?

Build I found the most fun was 2x Gauss 4x LL.

Group 1Guass and 2xLL on each mouse button, hold mouse button down untill LL has finished release for gauss follow up!

You can alfa once with this build or alternate mouse buttons almost endlessly.

Sure looks hot doesn't it? Who cares, you can always fire your dual gauss no matter where your heat is and use groups when necessary. Those massive lolphas are so fun when you pull off the one shot. Tip: target pathetic LRM boats. Almost all of them run XLs (even Stalkers laughably) so target the ST and you often get a reward.

Probably the most rage inducing build in the game. Insane DPS, poor burst damage but the thign is a push machine. I have uploaded numerous videos of this build on my youtube channel single handedly suppressing entire teams and leading a charge while several assaults run away from the dakka. Screen shake for days and probably the easiest clan build to consistently hit 900-1200 damage. Can not remember the last time I did less than 900 in this thing on Forest Colony.

Another instagib machine, very cool running. The bane of lights and cored 'mechs everywhere---I do not know why but several times I have killed someone or headshot them and they have said something along the lines of "*** with your op metawolf get a real 'mech and try me again" or some other tears along those lines so that is why I used that name.

As the name implies. People hate the Timberwolf laser vomit well here it is IN ADDITION TO dual gauss. Looks a bit hot like the alpha king build but once again, who really cares since you always have the 'ol trusty dual gauss to fall back on.

Now that I think of it......asking for the best Dire Wolf builds is like asking who the hottest women are you will get a LOT of answers. Pretty much all of them start with Dual Gauss though.

I center my builds around heavy suppression and shaking my target up so bad they can't return fire.
My only obstacle is distance.

Builds with explanations, i frequently use the 'Space Whale' to decent effect: 2Gauss, 2LPL, 3ERML, 78? damage alpha and you can juggle heat with the Gauss. VERY useable...i say this as a light pilot learning Assault-Fu. You get a 400-600M focus with a way to keep DPS going if you run hot. Time the Gauss to hit with the LPL, rinse-repeat.
One good alpha cores most things and if your aim is steady, can one-shot many lights.


Shield with the 3ERML arm in the asymmetric build. Also has a symmetric build but i dont like losing half my damage when i lose an arm.

5UAC build is good and the 6LPL is fun but not exactly optimal.
