You might need to heat and bend some parts to get those angles on side torsos.

Heresy! :o

But seriously, a lot of awesomeness is possible with lego without cusomisation.

I must know, what program is that? I've seen it a few times now, and would love to play around in it...

This, my kids are quite computer savvy and love Legos they would flip for something like this. And when you are done can we get directions for that locust, I would build one of those for myself ;)

The program is LEGO Digital Designer, LDD.

I uses it when I want to get a build idea out quickly before I ravish through my RL LEGO.
Only problem with LDD is "floating Bricks" and that's why you don't see the AFOLs using it a ton.

P.S. - It might be a while till the body is completed. I'm waiting for that Eureka moment on how to get the look in LEGOs comical fashion.

Scale to the mini-figure is a big part of my LEGO building.

The feet need to be bigger to be in scale also in order to stand up right, I tell you from past builds and the sadness that follows.
