It works like this:
Inflatable Urbie is deployed like an airstrike, aim, whoosh, pop he inflates.
Little green Urbie. 1 health, shows up as a red dorito on enemy radar.
Perhaps extends radar or doesnt require line of sight due to having an active transmitter intentionally highlighting itself to enemy radar.
Just stands there until shot.

Lure and kill, or use as diversion while flanking.
Would work particularly well during challenge weekends when so many people are Leeroy rushing the first red triangle they see.

Its a serious real thing to do this.

The United States Army has developed a modern dummy tank. It imitates the M1 Abrams tank not only in appearance, but also in its heat signature, in order to appear real to infrared detectors. One of these decoys can take fire from the enemy and still appear to be operational, thus delaying the enemy by as much as an hour, as they are forced to destroy the decoy. These M1 decoys cost only $3,300,[16] compared to $4.35 million for a real M1.[17] The decoy is also practical: when disassembled, it weighs only fifty pounds, and is roughly the same size as a duffel bag. Its generator—about the size of a 12 inch television—facilitates inflation, so that two people can erect the decoy in a few minutes.[16] Occasionally, real tanks carry a dummy on board, to deploy when needed.[18]

Even if not Urbies, I actually like the idea of deploy-able decoys in the same setup as uav and strikes. Would be even cooler if it was a stand-in for whatever mech you had the module equipped to or a selection of various models with different price ranges from light-assault and MC version could do the same as a uav and boost the time it stays active.

Decoys sound like a fun idea as long as it can't be abused.

That said, more than anything else, I want to buy a real inflatable urbie :D

Actually I've wanted to see the following as a consumable:

The idea of an inflatable Urbie reminds me of final battle in Gundam 0080.

They dont have any rights to produce physical merch or we would already have people with shelves filled to folding point with it. I would also like to see some form of in game decoy.

It would at least be a fun cockpit item.

And having deploy-able decoys in matches would be real nice too.
