Future Mwo On Xbox?

I imagine that games sold on the xbox would work on a pc, but not necessarily the other way around. Do you think its possible someone on an xbox could soon play mwo?

I have no game development experience so I have no idea how hard it is to port a "AAA" game from PC to consoles. It could be as easy as reworking a few lines of codes or as hard as practically rewriting the whole game. CryEngine is a ***** to work with, too - I mean my laptop runs BF4 maxed out 1080P 60FPS and could barely run MWO in 720P max, how would you expect consoles to perform? Even with the rumors that the current-gen consoles are basically PCs, there could still be a million other things in between.
On the other hand, MWO is - again, with no actual proof, just a sense - nearing its life cycle's end, and it would be silly if PGI don't do something with its 20-year BattleTech license later on this year, if not already. I would love to see PGI make a full BT game releasing across all platforms.

An extremely early build also known as "mechwarrior 5" may be around for xbox 360.
But it may be gone now. or just transformed into current MW: O
However out of the 2 consoles I think PS4 would get it unless Microsoft bribes PGI which may work as PGI have very little money BUT they are dedicated to our community and fans...

Sony has eased up restrictions on MMOs and indies, and also has a policy that allows MMOs to share PS players with PC servers on the same server. Good examples are War Thunder and Final Fantasy 14 A Realm Reborn.

This is not a AAA game. Its just a basic Cryengine SDK job.
They have the mech models/animations/textures which are a really valuable asset, everything else is pretty useless.
Relatively easy to export the models into another/newer engine (all have improved considerably in performance and licensing costs since MWO began) and recreate the game.
There might be a small team working on a recreation to a newer engine in their back offices.
It would probably be Xbox only, due to Microsofts IP involvement.
Easier to deal with Xbox project than PC really, consistent hardware instead of all the random buggy drivers and low spec machines requiring different workarounds and support for ultra low graphics modes.

This was the original reason we didn't get MW5, and instead got a F2P PC only game.
PGI couldn't afford 'exclusive' xbox 360 deals, and no one wanted to publish such a game. In 2015, things are still largely the same.

As much as I do not want to get involved in tihs Console war business thing (We all know some trolls will pop up and go PC master race anyway) But PS4 has advantages over Xbox one which works well for MW: O and PC games.
One of these advantages is cross server compatibility.
PS4 players on MW: O can go play with PC players on MW: O on the same server.
Also PS4 has free multiplier for free games (ie MW: O) while with Xbox you have to pay subscription.
Also Xbox likes to make stuff get changed a lot. PRetty much if it becomes a Xbox thing, then Xbox MW: O will be the same as IGP coming back.
Also out of PS1 and Xbox original... What you think is better?
MW2, or MA1 and 2...
We do not want another MA game thank you very much, go hire some other developer to do that.

And Playstation original is best IMO(I have both Xbox original and PS1 so I do have some experience).
I am not PC master race crap. I am pro PC because of its advantages and long run versatility whereas consoles become obsolete within 2 years and break down in 3. I can get a PC that I can update and run for 10 years before I need a new complete computer.
Xbox and Playstation will not be profitable for PGI and Xbox is their only option because if they go pro playstation Microsoft will pull the license.
I've played my PS3 nearly daily for the past 6 years =l still have not seen a single crash or it breaking down...

I wish I was a computer expert. Unlike some master race people who can build a computer in 10 minutes blind folded. I do not even know how to maintain my PC xD.
Haven't dusted the inside ever... or upgraded pc... or anything...

My PC has a bunch of cords sticking out the side - or I would never remember to dust it.
(Which I need to do here in the next few days... )
I actually keep one of those compressed air cans next to my monitor to help me remember as well
(Because the cords are not always enough )

That compressed air cans are very expensive (here at least).
And then you realise how stupid it is... In a few years you could just buy a brand new better PC for the price of AIR....

There are fancier ones that cost 20-80 dollars, but according to what tech-savvy people I have talked to, these work about as well
