Petition To Force All Clan Mechs To Start Out Legged

Dear PGI,

It has come to my fellow Clansmen that our Mechs are entirely too OP for the IS to handle even with IS mechs currently out classing our mechs on several levels due to quirks. So in the interest of fair play we would like to suggest the following action(s). First we believe that 10 Clan mech vs 12 IS mechs for CW would not produce the winning % the IS needs. Neither do we believe that the -20% speed when losing a side torso would also produce the winning % the IS needs either. They would help push it in the right direction but just not to where it needs to be.

We feel that by reducing the totally OP nature of how our Clan mechs move is the best way to get to that magic winning % for the IS. So we are petitioning you to start all Clan mechs as "legged" in every match. We feel this is the next logical step and if that still does not produce the needed win % we would like to suggest restricting all Clan mechs to machine guns only.

(Update)
After considering the suggestion of also starting out "without one arm" too, we had decided to add this to our request. My fellow Clansmen also offered to further add maybe starting without one side torso too would be good in the interest of fair play. We would also like to change our "Machine Guns only" to just a single Machine Gun so the %2 buff they got today pushes having more than one into the OP range.

I guess starting out with a 50-50 win chance is unthinkable for the proud Clan warriors?

I seem to recall the Clans having a 90% win rate when first released, and the latest figure I saw was 73% IIRC.

but it's a hard pill to swallow when you can't brag to people that you regularly do 1200 damage in your 3 gauss easy-mode :P

Heh i dont have any problems playing vs clans in CW as IS its bout 50% win/lose chance

Clans are not OP, think its pretty balanced

The only thing thats OP is premade(8+) vs pugs wich gives 90% wins to the premade group

Also disco's, often get games with 2disco thats 8mechs we lose

OP is full of it. Last I checked, most of the tier 1 'mechs are still clan 'mechs.

Nothing is balanced

Look at the facts Heat per Damage most of the IS lasers run cooler , have shorter duration , and with quirks have same range as clans plus get more cycling and cooling buffs on top.

Most SRM IS mechs have a 30-40m SRM range advantage and an extra 7% damage buff

UAC and AC -- the IS are more pinpoint , come on the clan AC-20 shoots 5 slow moving balls COMPLETELTY WORTHLESS!!
Clan UAC-5 & 10s spread damage alot.

Guass and LRMs are about equal

PGI please fix the game stop making it worse

Interestingly enough the Clan players also had a 100 Elo advantage over the IS players in that last test which would equate to a better than 50/50 chance of winning. In fact the last numbers they gave on win percentage during one of their hopelessly short tests put the win rate exactly in line with the Elo difference.
