Last night I played an older game for a bit. The game, Mario Kart is one of those old time fun games that you just don't see much of anymore.

Man, them tournaments on mario kart 64 with my friends. I should get my n64 back to my gaming postation and try to organize a tournament with my univeristy mates. It would be epic... And friendships will disintegrate :D.

Ooh, and star fox 64? That game is my childhood!

I finished the game several times, with all the possible routes. Finishing the game takes a little less than 2 hours, if i remember well.

Other games i have are eXtreme, a bike racing shooter game, really fun. And Rush, the ancestor of burnout, in some ways. Man, so many hours spent on that console.

Yeah, did that too. The ground multiplayer was a lot of fun, but unluckily my friends preferred mario kart over starfox :(

Same.... mainly because I lost half my friends from kicking their asses back to Venom.

Mario Kart I actually lost fewer friends over... although I had already lost most of them due to Quake, Star Fox, and Descent 2.

Anybody here recall Star Fox?

"Do a barrel roll!"

Man, the N64 had some great titles! I wish that I had an SNES too...

That blowing on cartridges's contacts, that reset button spamming hoping the game would start... Oh, the nostalgia train is here!

Anyone here ever play Jet Force Gemini? I need to look and see if anyone converted it for PC. It'd make a decent FPS...

I have that trouble right now every time I want to get my Legend of Zelda working on the N64 (literally I spend an hour getting it to work, its how I broke one of my controllers..... throwing it in frustration lol).

Still have my copy. Will get a screenshot if you want.

I actually still have my N64 copy; I just can't hook the console to my TV. The TV is provided by my apartment complex, and they covered up the RCA ports. Only the HDMI and USB ports are available. :(

Cool pics; love the bunny!

There's a great n64 emulator, it's called project64. You can use it, and download the rom of the game. As long as you have the physical cartridge, it's all legal ;)

You can get RCA-HDMI converter boxes to do that. No idea how much they are but just a thought.

Yeah, a buddy of mine told me that it's expensive as all get-out though. :(

Great memories of Drunken Mario Kart on the 64, GC and Wii.

My GF, her younger sister, and myself screaming a particular line from The Big Lebowski at each other or that Japanese kid that lapped everyone twice.

HDMI-RCA Converter

actually they aren't that bad.

I looked at that one, but my friend told me that it wouldn't provide good quality. I'm a bit illiterate when it comes to electronics in general; will need to do some research, lol.

While someone may want to use a Rom styled game, Nothing, and I mean Nothing, beats the real game, using the console and old fashioned controller. Enjoy. :)

Yep! I even have a controller still in its plastic packaging.

Was looking at all my old cartridges the other day. I've got Mario Kart, Star Fox, Smash Bros., Pod Racers, both Banjo Kazooies, Jet Force Gemini, Super Mario, Ocarina of Time, and so many more! They sure don't make 'em like they used to!
