Description: Ultra auto cannons mounted on clan mechs do not visually appear to rotate.
All clan UACs are affected.
Location: Apparently any Clan mechs, ingame.
Reproduction Rate: 100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. In Mechlab, take mech & mount an autocannon in the torso(s).

2. Enter Testing Grounds or a public match.

3. Fire weapon & observe the gun barrel - it appears motionless.

Confirmed affected mechs:
- Hellbringer
- Summoner
- Stormcrow
- Kit Fox
- Timber Wolf
- Nova
- Dire Wolf

Additional Notes:
I've taken the extra steps of checking the Jagermech & Shadowhawk, to see if Inner Sphere UAC-5s were affected too, and can confirm IS UAC-5s continue to visually rotate.

I can't seem to check if the autocannons will appear to rotate if mounted in the arms instead, on the Hellbringer.

Those don't rotate either.

UAC2s and 20s also don't rotate.

Bumping & updating this:

The UAC/5s are NOT visually rotating on the Summoner, either.

Though since the title doesn't reflect this, maybe I need to make a second bug report?
figured it out, woot!

Certainly true, they never did. Still a shame, though.

Wait, so this has been a problem since Clan mechs were first introduced?

This is easy to fix. The UACs can rotate on any IS and Clan mechs. You just have to press A or D ingame for the effect.

Since the UAC was introduced, they never rotated. ^^

Not true. It rotates on the Shadowhawk, and it did so on the Jagermech, not sure if it still does.

I didn't know that. Never piloted those, though.

Been here since closed beta, late summer 2012. Never seen any UAC rotate. HAVE seen them blur or have fire seem to come out of different barrels in sequence, but that might just be an artifact of motion blur. For most IS mechs, since they did not show dynamic weapons, it did not much matter, but even w clan UAC it has never been much more than a slight blur on the cannons which to some might hint at rotation, rather than a slow visible turning animation. IF such an animation does exist on Jaegers or clan mechs, it must only play/animate on very very high settings, because I have not seen it running while on HIGH settings across the board to date.

Description: Ultra auto cannons mounted on the the Hellbringer's (Or Summoner's) torso, any variant (with the ballistic torso hardpoints) do not visually appear to rotate from the first-person-view cockpit.
All Both types of autocannons (uac5 vs uac10 and up) appear to be affected.
Location: Hellbringer mech, ingame.
Reproduction Rate: 100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. In Mechlab, take mech & mount an autocannon in the torso(s).

2. Enter Testing Grounds or a public match.

3. Fire weapon & observe the gun barrel - appears motionless.

Additional Notes:
I've taken the extra steps of checking the Jagermech & Shadowhawk, to see if Inner Sphere UAC-5s were affected too (so both arm/torso locations), and it appears that IS UAC-5s act normally (they appear to rotate upon being fired).

Really?
REALLY???

There are far more Important things to fix/add to MWO then this.

actually its the million very small things in MWO that are ignored that show exactly why this game is in the state it is in. for example sulphur map alpha gate hill to left looking out the gate where new rock formation was added the hit box for that rock extends invisibly like an inch out, that is a small issue but extremely shoddy work.

also none of the ac's/uacs eject the spent shell casings either. i guess they are stored for recycle?

That'd be cool if they did, but I've been playing since closed beta and they've never rotated sadly.

Inner Sphere UAC-5s have been rotating for as long as I can remember.

Evidently it's the Clan UACs that haven't been rotating...I'm going to see if my UACs rotate on other clan mechs in my stable.

edit: This appears to affect all Clan UACs on *all* Clan mechs.
