Having been inspired by recent successes of other FRR units to capture Clan Technology, The Isengrim Super Viking Elite Omega Special Forces SEALS Recon Einherjar Dragon-Slayers Regiment Lance was sent deep into Clan Territory (literally two blocks away from our mead hall) to capture for ourselves, some of that sweet Clan-Tech-Pie.

Before commencing our operation we first gathered around us some of the greatest experts the Inner Sphere had in Clan technology and tactics. These experts happened to be random people within a one block radius of our mead-hall, but this does not mean we just asked anyone. Only that we just asked everyone.. we could find.

From these experts we learned numerous things; like how to really add volume to our hair (to make it stand out at Royal Balls) or proper Waifu care and maintenance to ensure that our personal Kurita Mandated Waifu stays loyal to us and Dear Leader, or how to not to set up Star Leagues. After assessing and internalizing these valuable insights we then got to the crux of the matter. If we were to steal Clan Tech, what kind of Tech should we take?

Now obviously initially there were some attempts to get us go for their 'Omni-Blow Dryers' or their Iron-Waifu-Wombs, also for some strange reason our Kurita representatives just kept telling us that we were all clans and we should just steal the Davion and Marik representatives shoes and then say "GG Shoes, Ha Ha Ha." But after some initial bumps we finally got everyone on board with taking a Clan MECH.

After a few minutes of heated discussion of the merits of various Clan Mechs we came to a decision that all parties could agree on.

So Ladies and Gentlemech's let me present to you our newly minted...

Ice Ferret!!!
The Preeminent Clan Mech.

Using our advanced extraction methods we were able to take this Mech back to our base where we celebrated appropriately, as vikings.

And took some pictures for good measure.

Unfortunately, we didn't pay a ton of attention to what was going on after this and were bombarded pretty heavily.

I am pretty sure, like, everyone died.
But it was worth it, for we placed our Ice Ferret in Omega and fired it off to Rasalhague, where our crack scientists are even this very moment unlocking the secrets of Clan Tech.

So fear not Inner Sphere, soon an army of reverse engineered Ice Ferrets will enter the fray. And the clans will tremble!

Grats to the FRR, nicely done gentlemen.

So how about FRR and Steiner sharing their intel?

The 12th Donegal Guards recently laid hands on a Kit Fox:

I think we can come to some arrangement. Soon we will be able to abandon our weak IS Firestaters for these superior Clan Mechs!

Official Intelligence Report

The Fenris in question was abandoned by Clan Wolf due to inoperative leg actuators. Clan Wolf has made extensive use of the so called "Ice Ferret", or as we like to refer to it, "Rational Cooling Device", or "Fridge" for short. We've seen them in great numbers on many occasions, including one encounter with a complete two stars of them which were able to successfully bypass our defense lines and cripple our power grids and infrastructure without suffering significant casualties. Further onslaughts from Clan Wolf were held at bay and we were able to keep our planetary defense cannons online, but one thing was made certain: something was different about these "Fridges".

Further investigation on the captured Fenris has revealed some evidence of botched attempts at Myomer Accelerator integration, or MASC system, which may explain our previous encounters with these zippy ******** and why the actuators on our captured specimen were... err... frozen.

We also found this in the cockpit, no doubt left by the Clan pilot who abandoned the machine. It appears to be Jade Falcon propaganda of all things, but the implications are... well... we'll let you see for yourself:

Our code designation for the Ferret is "Bernd das Brot" or just "Bernd" cause of his similarity to a popular kids TV character over here:

and yes, we have encountered them in increasingly numbers on the Jade Falcon front too. Not sure if the Test Tube Babies are up to something or if they are finally running out of Crows and Mad Cats.

Indeed...Clan Wolf has noted some of the Inner Sphere tech seems to surpass our own...such as this "Stalker" which boasts a formidable large laser array that makes our energy weapons seem to be obsolete by comparison.

Who would have thought after 200 years of beating the bejeezus out of each other and destroying their mech production base that they would have stumbled onto better tech in the last 30-60 days? Perhaps Clans should destroy everything we own in a bitter fight over leadership to stumble onto better tech to combat these stravags? Either way, we are looking into deploying this tech, as our Warhawks are not even capable of mounting the staggering array of weapons that run significantly cooler than our own for similar damage.

And of course it hasn't taken long for some clanner crybaby to start whining about "IS is OP", and its a wolf, why I am not surprised by that?

So, the reverse engeneering of the "Ice Ferret" is under progress and working as planned... after Including a mead horn holder instead of those silly clan cup holders and a place to hang the battelaxe in the cockpit, the brave FRR scientists (at lease the ones still sober enough) found that the mech performed 200% over specs in comparison to the first tests.

Then some of the younger FRR pilots "borrowed" the mech after going on an all nighter and we found it with lowered leg suspension, a wide rear reactor exhaust and wide rims Stalker feet installed and the speed was down to the poor clanner specs again.

Spoiler

P. S. The fuzzy Dice in the cockpit did seem to give it a 10% speed improvement though,

dont forget the vent louvers on the side of the legs as well as the torsos and head this should increase the speed capacity beyond normal means of clanner expectations.
