My wife recently informed me that every time I purchase something from piranha we are charged .90cents. Are you charging me for the right to buy? I dont get it. I'm giving you money and I'm paying a fee to pay because you are in canada 90 miles from me? wtf! Even comcast doesn't charge me when I use my CC!
Is it just me that finds this infuriating?

Contact support, and ask for clarification.

It could be charges from your own payment methods (credit card fees, etc).
It could be an exchange rate issue.
It could be your own bank. Some have extra fees for different types of transaction.

I've never been charged anything in excess of what i've paid for, so I daresay some investigationing is in order on your end first.

You know you have been playing too much MWO when you saw the thread title and immediately assumed that it was about the Centurions.

90 miles and a different currency might as well be another country or something...oh wait!
Blame your bank, they the ones making money off your international transactions/currency exchanges.

It sounds like you're paying directly with your card. I always use PayPal and they do the conversion themselves and charge me the relevant amount which is usually a competitive exchange rate and doesn't have any currency conversion charge from my bank.

Luxury,

You should see how much Canadians have to pay to purchase from this Canadian company:)

We would laugh if it was funny... but it is not funny.

Not funny at all.

Is the charge under PGI or imposed by your CC bank as foreign transaction fee?

Sounds like some kind of handling fee from the CC company, since it sounds like it's been the same .90 occurences for different purchases of different values. FYI: I don't get charged anything extra with mine. You are probably right about it being currency exchange related

I had a similar issue with Blizzard back when I used to play World of Warcraft. At one point, they were charging me an extra $1.80 in 2 90 cent transactions for every transaction I made. When I asked them about it in a support ticket, I was given a copy pasted verbal diarrhea response that had literally nothing to do with the topic and my support ticket was forceably and permanently shut.
