I recently got sent this:

[Redacted]

And the AC/20 + ML build seems both to be 1) standard engine and 2) fast as I've ever seen a Cataphract move in my life. What's the build?

So they were only slightly faster than your King Crab. Same speed as the Victor they were traveling with; I figure it was ~80 kph.

Yeah. Here's a build that goes 82kph.

This thread is going to get locked, and should be, as flat out name and shame as well as a named accusation of cheating.

Plus it's not just wrong but silly wrong.

Uncool, plus reported, plus you're wrong.

Wander,

Let me introduce you to the fastphract. You can do it on the 3D or the 1X. Take a STD 320 Engine, add an AC 20 with 4 tons of ammo and ML's to taste. If your running the 3D toss in one Jump Jet, if your running the 1X add a 5th ML. Shaken not stirred.

My only thought is the recent decouple of size of mech to climb speed has boosted the hill climb rate of some mechs.
Anyway.. They don't seems to be much faster than the Victors.

In regards to the call of Hax, I can verify that all of those mechs we're moving in the low to mid 80's with the exception on the lights, later in the night SJR made us pay for being short range mechs twice.

Well obviously we can't trust the word of a guy who runs a full 12 man of hackers

Actually, I posted it because given [APOC], I knew it was just good ol' fashioned 'Mech building. Anything that gets people going "HAX!" has got to be a good build.

Heck, I've been accused of hacking because I killed people. With machine guns. LOL.

Obviously. And don't let the fact that the Crab was going backwards affect anyones view of this. It's amazing that a 'phract can keep up with a Crab going in reverse. </sarcasm>

And this isn't a "name and shame". He got the name part right, but the Kong-ite should be ashamed. I dare him to report it. In fact, I double-dog dare him.

Just a classic case of someone losing and going directly to "it must be a hack". Lame, but not surprising.

*Edit because wanderer clarified his position. I was actually worried there for a sec.

The Benny Hill music put me off. I didn't see the phracts going any faster than the Victor to be honest so not too sure what they're bleating about. Hell, it was a close game not a 12-0 whitewash.

I was accused of hacking by some members of my own team of pugs when I used the advanced zoom module.

They've never seen it. This was when the resolution was a piece of sh*t too.

Not sure what the videographer was going for there. Video was clearly sped up and the music added to cover up the sped up audio. Too obvious to be a real "cheat report" and not funny enough to be an intentional joke imo.

You could do even better (more ammo and heatsinks):

No!!! Wanderer put the video back up! It makes my day every time I watch it. It has almost replaced the talking dog video as my pick me up when I'm blue!

While the video was indeed amusing, the link was taken down at the request of the mods- who at first had removed the entire topic after it was reported for fear that it was a name-shame-exploit thread.

Fair enough compromise.
