For those players that have played since the inception, this might ring more true. It is a rather good take on content however. PTW.

And yet no one complains about 10k euros ships on star citizen... Honestly, i see no problem in the gold mechs thing. People that decided to buy them, did it freely, and supported the game. People that didn't want to buy them, weren't forced into buying. So, why the hell all the complaining? The game didn't deserve the investment? Then no one would have bought those mechs. Also, the whole arcticle seems a useless rant. The guy even complains about hero mechs. Really? With hero mechs like the pretty baby, someone even dares complaining about them?
That guy doesn't deserve my attention.

The gold mechs were a glorified "Donate!" button that actually returned something to the donor. If not for the severe development slowdown for the year prior, nobody would have had anything worse than an eye roll in response.

Hows that an offense?
Is it an offense when someone makes a 500.000$ car?
Wheres the difference? LOL, people have problems these days.
Funny is, if there would have been a 500$ stage at kickstarter giving you such a mech, no one would complain, so why is it an issue when something similar appears after a game is live?
The only way this would ahve been offending is when they would have an advantage and being some high border p2w stuff.
