I am losing my mind :(

The game is still crashing randomly during matches.

Now it's almost 3 months, if not more.
I try everything, nothing help.
Can finally someone from PGI respond.
I am watching temperatures, it's ok, never had any problems in any other game. I am waiting for every next patch or driver update, but nothing happened :(

What I should do? Buy ****** new graphic card or what???? Even if its perfectly fine in any other game or programs???

The problem is somewhere between MWO and drivers I think.

Please is there another one with same problems?
If yes, can you join to this thread. thx

This is that error:

Hi DrSlamastika,

In our next patch we have added more information to that error popup window. If you keep getting the issue after our next patch can you please send support a ticket with the screenshot of the error box.

Cheers,
Brian

Hello Brian.
I communicated with Alexander Garden already.
I sent the support ticket to him and working together on my problem. Really appreciate it.

He recommend some setting and I am trying run with them.

Turn V-Sync Off
Turn Anti-Aliasing Off
Turn Particles to Medium
Turn Object Detail to High

Now I writing on paper every match and map. If it crashed or go alright.

I played yesterday 11 matches together. In seventh game in row its crashed in Viridian bog. Just before the end of match, the last guy from enemy was dead and I was waiting for score tab.

And then I had another ridiculous crash in testing ground in Forest colony.
So not many players (only one death bot ) :), or superduper new map, many explosion or dust, or somethng hard for video.

I still think its about some bad optimization or bad communication from MWO to graphic driver. Some new problem. Or its just about the MWO now need more powerful iron then it needs before 3-4 months? Cose before this problems I ran MWO in highest settings 2 years without one single crash. No change on my side about comp.

So I dont really know. I am not so technical type of person, so I dont know If you change or add somethnig and now for highest settings I need more powerfull PC.

Anyway thanks a lot for info about working on this kind of problem. I think I am not alone with this issue.

OK I tried CW event.

After long waiting for first drop it crashed me 3 times during match and then I was stopped trying to rejoin again and again and again . . . . so I dont know what would be the final number of crashes. That yellow map with purple flowers.

My first drop was Locust, everything was ok, then I was killed. I chose CTF-4x next and then it start crashing, first time during drop from the ship and two times when I was walking after rejoin to the enemy's gate.

This is totally unplayable - no stormocrow for me so I can only hope for that next patch.

I think I was just lucky yesterday for only 2 crashes from 11 games. I thought that wont be so easy like downgrade some specs :(

This is really sad, I have time on weekend, weather is bad, but I cannot play and get that little clan bird.

Could you post the first section of the dxdiag? From the beginning to just past the sound card info?

I can confirm that this has happened to me for the first time a few minutes ago. I was playing all day and everything was fine until now.

I've never gotten this error before.

I did change to Nvidia's most recent drivers recently I'll roll it back to an earlier version and see if that fixes it.

Okay here's my report on the tests i've done so far.

Nvidia Drivers 347.52, Release date Tuesday February 10th, 2015: Tested from 11AM EST to 7:00 PM EST. I was playing fine all day with this driver. Then around 7 PM I got artifacting and a HUGE crash that shut off my SLI GPUs. My monitor would not even register a signal from the PC. Had to restart. From then on I played 2 more games and both had graphical artifacting and crashed. I had multiple heavy framerate drops throughout the day also. I crashed in the Mechbay once too.

Nvidia Drivers 347.88, Release date Tuesday March 17th, 2015: Tested 3 times. 100% crashing in match(random timing, could be at the start, middle or near the end), with graphical artifacting, PC useless unless restarted.

I decided to go back in time a little bit so I skipped some drivers and went back to the last stable driver I had before the two mentioned above.

Nvidia Drivers 344.75, Release date Tuesday November 18th, 2014: Tested 3 times. No artifacting, No crashing, No fatal error. No framerate drops. Perfect performance.

Honestly I'm kinda afraid to try any other drivers right now, since this one is giving me such great performance. There are 3 drivers in between that I did not test because I never installed them before.

I think it's safe to say this is a driver issue though.

Second report. I just got my first crash with 344.75

I was able to play for a lot longer than the other two drivers allowed me to though. Maybe it's a driver/patch issue then?

Third report. I got artifacting and a crash while at desktop.

One of my GPUs is dead. :(

So, yeh, you can ignore all the info above. Everything is fine now on my other GPU.

:( I had that first card for 5 years. :(

How did you recognize that one of your GPU is dead, you changed the processor?

Since I run SLI GPUs all I did to figure out it was a GPU failure was try one at a time. The one that is dead gave me artifacting and crashes. The other one runs fine on its own.

Yeh, GPU means graphics card. Ask a friend to borrow theirs if you don't have a spare one to test with.

Same model in my case, but it doesn't have to be. Just make sure the card you use for testing is younger than your card. To be on the safe side.

I know that some new GPU should resolve my problem but my card is not like yours 5 years old :( and working perfectly fine in any other game. And changing it just because MWO :( I will wait for next patch and then I will see.

But thx for advice.

Only happening in MWO. Hmm. I would still recommend a stress test of sorts. Find the most graphically intensive game you have and play it on MAX settings for a half hour. See what happens.

I thought my problem only happened in MWO. Until I started crashing and artifacting while on the normal desktop.

Similar issues but only happens when in the Mech Lab tab or Skills - Pilot Skills tabs. No other in game crashing issues.

I ran into this exact same issue to which PGI is currently working a ticket. You can get more info through the thread I started HERE if you're interested.
