Many were looking forward to the CW contest this weekend; sadly, it's not going to happen well.

Without the full participation of the general population, there are currently not enough matches running, especially during the US day, and even not enough during prime time night, for most players to be able to find a CW match.

Suggestion: Cut up the Pie Slices.
Currently a pie slice counts for 1 match on a CW planet.
Cut the pie slices into 3rds, so that groups of 4 and 8 could fight for 1/3 or 2/3rds of a pie slice.
This would theoretically make it take longer to take or hold a planet, but will allow more people to play.

Most players don't want to play CW w/o a full 12 man team, otherwise they get stomped by a full 12 man team. Smaller teams play PUG matches because there is no other option for them.

Inject the standard maps into CW play for smaller groups to fight on, as 4 on 4 Boreal would be odd.

Also, injecting the regular maps into small group CW warfare would break the predictability of maps, and make it more challenging.

Thank you PGI for continually improving the game!

Well I suspect with the event reward being a decent champion mech and a decent clan mech there will be a pug explosion in CW. Even getting rolled as long as your team isn't completely horrendous 80 match points is a a likely thing.

Just remember if you drop with pugs this event, fully expect standard drop "I'm going to hide for most of the match" tactics.
