Greetings MechWarriors,

We are happy to announce that as of April 1st at 12:00PM PDT, we will be transitioning our global payment services provider from Playspan to Xsolla.

Xsolla is a game-focused payment services provider with support for over 500 payment methods worldwide, and they love MechWarrior!
Your available payment methods will continue to be automatically catered for your specific region, and depending on your region you may actually have some additional payment methods now available.

Credit card transactions (Visa, MasterCard, and Amex) will continue to be processed through Stripe.
PayPal transactions will continue to be processed directly by us through the PayPal portal.

We're also very happy to announce that starting today at 12:00PM PDT you'll receive an associated receipt from Piranha Games for all transactions from now on. This receipt will include a confirmation ID and timestamp that you can use when communicating with Support services in the event of a billing issue or question.

If you encounter any issues with your transaction, please contact billing@mwomercs.com.

My only suggestion is that this transition should have done the day before or day after April 1st... for obvious reasons.

For a moment there, I thought this was a joke, but it's actually serious.

I do recognize these things are done near at the end or beginning of the month, but it gets caught up on the madness.

With making payments so much easier now (more like 50x easier with all the new options). Please don't release any more mech packs just yet or make any more MC deals... resistance would be futile!

I don't like this at all. I lost 60$ to Xsolla via 'The War Z'. Thankfully PayPal is still an option. Xsolla and their customer support suck majorly.

I'm more curious to know what other payment options are available that they can offer that isn't already handled by PGI or another third-party.

PayPal by PGI, Credit Cards by Stripe... what other specific payment options does Xsolla offer that can be useful? Do they accept checks by mail, unborn children, pocket lint and such? :D

But it will be nice to get a receipt for our purchases now... that's kinda late for purchase features, but hey, progress is progress ^_^

Support for any billing issues will continue to go through us, so in the majority of cases there shouldn't be much need to contact Xsolla directly.
That being said, I read a little bit about the issues with War Z prior to today's roll-out. I feel comfortable saying that was an isolated incident more related to the issues with that particular situation.

I was considering posting a list of all the accepted methods, but it's....extensive. Global payment providers like Xsolla are really more of a boon for international players, as there are a multitude of payment methods worldwide that players in North America (for example) wouldn't typically be aware of.

This would be a pretty lame April Fool's joke, guys.

APRI---no no, I kid.

Also, please ease up on the image-only posts.

As much as I would love to have all the April Fools jokes; I am compelled to let you know that it's unfortunate that April 1st is a great end of quarter reporting point to switch payment providers.

Sorry, couldn't resist... But i guess that comment makes it a non-image-only-post anyways. Phew! That was close.

Sweet more payment options are great, now get them to reflect the real time exchange rates.
