That is true.

I've heard rumors that a few Flashman will be converted into mobile mead kegs as well.

I've heard rumors that the navy pukes are converting some overlords into 90% mead, 10% mobile bar behemoths

Exactly! They are mobile kegs of mead. The AC/10 was swapped out for a extensible dispenser, and the laser was kept, just so that it could defend itself, should the need arise.

If you pul the ac off the urbie how are we going to launch the kegs?

I give you not one but three beer mechs:

Hrm, you have a good point there MostlyHarmless.... A good point indeed. Well, the 'mechs you posted should do fine in a beer to mead conversion.

I'm somewhat concerned by the energy-based weapons layout of the Beermech II... Couldn't prolonged firing of all those lasers skunk the beer?!?!? :(

This sort of thinking is why you are in the FRR. While the designers were brilliant in coming up with a beer mech, they weren't true FRR warriors who would see such a problem early on in the design stage. I'm thinking we would need to swap to something with a little less heat generation.

I thought the lasers were an integral part of the beer cooling process, using the laser cooling principle to draw heat away from the beer storage areas and move it to other parts of the mech, while simultaneously providing at least a little offensive punch if necessary - after all, using ACs or other devices with recoil might agitate the beer and flatten it, which is no good either.

The Skjaldborg, 3rd Svinfylking
1st Company Recon, Leading the way!!
The Valhalla Express, We get you there faster.

We are not lost, we are scouting. You can not see us, for we walk another path.
Have faith brothers, we will show you the way.

Realizing it is my choice and my choice alone , I accept all challenges involved
with this profession. Forever shall I strive to maintain the tremendous
reputation of those who went before me.

Exceeding beyond the limitations set down by others shall be my goal.
Sacrificing personal comforts and dedicating myself to the completion of the
reconnaissance mission shall be my life. Physical fitness, mental attitude, and
Honor—The title of Recon Scout is my honor.

Conquering all obstacles, both large and small, I shall never quit. To quit, to
surrender, to give up is to fail. To be a Recon Scout is to surpass failure; To
overcome, to adapt and to do whatever it takes to complete the mission.

On the battlefield, as in all areas of life, I shall stand tall above the
competition. Through professional pride, integrity, and teamwork, I shall be the
example for all Scouts to emulate.

Never shall I forget the principles I accepted to become a Recon Scout. Honor,
Perseverance, and Duty. A Recon Scout can speak without saying a word and
achieve what others can only imagine.

No line we can not cross
No wall we can not surpass
No force we can not overcome

Activities that may be required

Reconnaissance is the military term for exploring beyond the area occupied by
friendly forces to gain information about enemy forces or features of the
environment.

Area reconnaissance refers to the observation, and information obtained, about a
specified location and the area around it.

Zone reconnaissance focuses on obtaining detailed information before maneuvering
their forces through particular, designated locations.

Route reconnaissance is oriented on a given route: e.g. a road, a railway, a
waterway; a narrow axis or a general direction of attack, to provide information
on route conditions or activities along the route.

Direct action (DA) consists of: "Short-duration strikes and other small-scale
offensive actions conducted as a special operation in hostile areas and which
employ specialized military capabilities to seize, destroy, capture, exploit,
recover, or damage designated targets.

Alone we are dangerous, together nothing can stop us.

Thats a highly motivated recon recruitment poster, but I'd rather do some of the recon ops I've seen over in the 'stan. You know, where they "recon" a village by unleashing a swarm of 227mm artillery missiles on it, and then drop about 100 pissed off marines into it?

And on the note of all the people citing bad things that are going to happen, I'll be damned if gunsburg falls without a shot.

I'm red, somewhat squishy, and extremely pissed off. Again.

I, for one, am looking forward to a hard fight. Maybe we'll lose. Maybe they'll sing about us until the stars go out. Either way, I shall enjoy the challenge. Here's to a long war!

Hell yeah, I'm countin on it!
Even if we get taken down to the last man, it will have been awesome doing it. I say let them come, at worst we will be a single world with such a thick military presence that it would be suicide to attack.
And then we launch our invasion of the clans....

I wonder if Lone Wolves can PICK a starting location? If i can, it will be in FRR. Why be sitting on the bench while the game is ON? If not, I'll go FRR proper until the woodwork is squeezed dry of lurkers and a proper role call of the ancient MSzone has accounted for all the lost souls I want to play with is completed. Just makes good salvage sense.

Pay attention when the time comes Lone Wolves! If we can't start there!

I always loved giant stompy death robots. Battletech in general has filled that need, anime failed simply for the stupid 'feelings' angle and stupid girly mechs with wings and flying and crap. Now, FRR in MWO gives me back my giant stompy death robots with DRINKING! And keg launching Urbies?

...My life, it is now complete.
