Well, that just means you need to go read more. The wiki can lay out the basics even if there are a lot of sections that are badly out of date and the various sections of the main site are helpful, but it is still under construction so you will probably have to scrounge around to get more specific details. You could also make an account on the main BattleTech forums to ask questions because there are people there that own literally every book ever published in the entire history of BattleTech.

I'm just getting back into the BT/MW franchise after wandering away for a while so I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things and getting caught up.

Tisk tisk! Wobbies never learn do they? If you want to play with the 'no no' toys then you better get ready for a whole lot of ***-stompin headed your way.

Thinking on it, actually, I'm not sure the bioweapons and neutron bombings were entirely the reason the Bears did the can-can across those three Blakist divisions. I stopped picking up the Jihad sourcebooks after Hotspots 3076, but it was strongly hinted at before then that the Manei Dominei were the descendants of the Minnisota tribe, and it's been rumored for years that the Minnesota Tribe was the fleeing remnants of Clan Wolverine.

It's also established that the Ghost Bears routinely do genetic testing of captured and downed enemy pilots (at least in the sphere) looking for said descendants of the Wolverines. The unit operating on Radstadt (they were some covert operation that the Bears stumbled upon, and their commander pulled a Nero - i.e. "fire EVERYTHING!") was a Shadow Division. And the Shadow Divisions were primarily Manei Dominei.

I'm thinking the bears did their routine genetic tests. Did the test again. Took it to another tester. Then realized that the Blakists were at least in part descended from Clan Wolverine and did what the Bears do when they find Wolverines. (I'll give you a hint, it's not tea and crumpets)

Clan Smoke Jaguar purposefully took on the Draconis Combine because we knew that they had the best warriors and wanted to fight what would give us the most honor.

You knew wrong. :P

We are the best and most honorable. B)

That is correct, the Jaguars did encounter the lightest resistance of any Clan. Of course, given that this is Jaguar intelligence we are talking about that is not exactly surprising. :P

The Bears and Wolves both hit various parts of the FRR.

Well at least you can look forward to being one of the strongest power in the Inner sphere, after the jihad.

I don't speak of FRR. Kai Allard - Liao isn't one of them. Do you understand now? ^_^

I feel like the FRR is kind of like Poland... ya know, really hardy people with a great, friendly culture with good down-home values, and strong loyalty to country... who happen to be stuck right between 2 major superpowers who trounce around back and forth over their poor country all the time.

I have a soft spot in my heart for the Buffer States.

To continue that analogy, I hope we manage to pull off our own Battle of Wizna.

I think people might be underestimating how successful the FRR will be in MWO. I think when we take a bite out of the Fedcom and Combine people will sit up and notice.

We Jaguars want to leave a good impression!

Oh I can definitely see an underdog uprising coming.

Especially with such valuable "mercenary" units as allies.

well poland is a good analogy, or then you could compare it to Finland between 1600-1900. Between Sweden and Russia both were quite large and powerful at the time and Finland was most definitively a buffer state at the time and manpower for armies.

As long as we don't end up in a 4 front war after the clans invade. ;)

Buffer states need to be smart and political in their actions, can't just go attacking everyone around us.

But politics are boring, while a PPC to their face is fun. Do you think I could fit a PPC on my trashcan? I dont like ammo crits. (I just lost 2 urbies to ammo crits in CBT)
