Now that the UrbanMech is out only two questions remain: who is the ultimate UrbanMech pilot, and how far can they push this little machine?

We intend to put all of you UrbieWarriors to the test with this UrbanMech Leaderboard Competition. So opt-in and take out the trash in your UrbanMech to fight for your chance at MC prizes!

As much as i like the challenges.. this one could really use a trial Uribe for those who did not buy a urbie. I'd even say a trial mech l eaderboard.

Nice idea for a tournament. I will equip my best urbie-popper to provide a challenge to aspiring leaderboard entrants.

Even if I didn't have my own Urbies, I would still think this is a great challenge.

this isn't as fun as it could be since i bet 95+% of the urbies out there arn't leveled yet, and unleveled mechs are agonizingly unresponsive

Nice from PGI to think of non-urbie owners to create another event for them! Thank you!

I do not own an Urbie, but those guys who bought one and supported our game deserve some fun.

I fully approve of this competition and may the best trashcan win!

My power supply died this last weekend, and I haven't yet a chance to replace it... The anguish is strong with this one.

Having an event most players can't participate in because they didn't buy a mech pack sucks. I understand MWO runs on money and I have spent my share of money on this game but I never bought a mech pack because I think they are a rip off, now I will spend even less.

This is an event that is specifically only for people who not only paid money, but paid money for something very specific. Definitely not a great thing to do if you want to turn free players into paying players, set precedent for events that you essentially had to pay money to access, not to mention one that has in-game money as a reward.....maybe I'm alone in this line of thinking though.....

Hm, Tournaments are always a great idea, but this one leaves a very bad taste (you gotta pay if you wanna play) if really only Urbie package buyers can attend it. Afaik this was not pulled off with the other packages before (first clan mech involving tournament included ALL players). And the price money for the first place is enough to nearly make up for the cost of the package!? In comparison, the first tournament including clan mechs had a max of 1600.
Furthermore does this mean a pretty heavy collision with the LFG-Event players, although a group of 12 urbies would be nice cannonfodder :). But mixing a "payer-exclusive event" with the public one - meh.

I'm not a fan of a P2P (pay 2 play) leaderboard event.. and it coincides with the Urbie... so... I'll decline outright.

If there was a subset for other Lights, at least there would be something for everyone. The Panther isn't released for C-bills yet, but it has an MC option (due to mistakes)... at least there would be more people participating.

So... bleh.

A counter competition for # of Urbies killed by other mechs by weight class would be fun. To get the kill credit it has to be a solo kill or most damage dealt kill.

Good luck to all you Urbie pilots, you paid and now you can play!
