Just got Windows 10 TP installed back on my system and its not looking to hot on the benchmarks with fraps. I think many expect performance to be way higher with Windows 10 with gaming. Last night after installing build 9926, in the middle of the night it updated to build 10041 all by itself. Performance is way down compared to Windows 10 build 9926.

All in game settings are the same as my Windows 7 install, and this is the benchmark numbers that I have after playing all day today. For the ones of you that know what my rig is I am sure that you will say something must be wrong... and I would have to agree, but all the drivers are installed/updated, and Windows has done updates. Not sure what is going on here... but it doesn't look to pretty.

These are all normal matches, no CW drops. Game play is playable, but doesn't feel as smooth as running on Windows 7 for sure.

Never mind guys..... This was a false alarm! lol

It would seem I adjusted my settings in game as the same on my Windows 7 install, but for some reason it didn't save the changes. Almost every setting was at Very High and it was set to FXAA instead of PostAA. I went back and double checked everything, and this time saved the settings that are the same as my Windows 7 install, and restarted the game.

New Benchmarks looks much gooder!

10041 has been nothing but trouble for me, although I think it's because it installed over an already-borked up 9926 build. OTOH, I've heard the same thing from others: BSODs, lock-ups on shut down, I've been hearing about and encountering all sorts of fun. Maybe they'll have a new build out soon :/

I too had problems with after the update.... seems like installing core temp before everything was updated caused lock ups big time and I had to hard shut it down. I am running Windows 10 PT 10041 right now, and have been all day. Once I got everything installed, and Windows updated it seems to be running fine now. I did clean install build 9926 last night though, so it shouldn't be borked. I had my old install perfect until I went and installed Linux Mint 17.1 64 bit on the same drive as the 10 install was on, and grub over wrote my boot section for Windows 10 screwing it up. I couldn't find a way to get it back, it sucked because I had the other install perfect!

After it updated all by itself this morning/late last night the new version took it upon its self to uninstall my Lan driver for the killer nic/ work around with the arthos driver. I had to reinstall it, it seems as if untill the new build updates fully that some programs that worked fine with the 9926 build, simply do not work well at all and will cause the OS to freeze up. I wonder what they have changed under the hood that would cause such issues?

FPS and performance seem fine now that I took some of the settings off Very High in game and made them the same as my Windows 7 in game settings. They seem on par with Windows 7 and the older 9926 build. I am gonna run in Windows 10 and the new build version for a while and see what it can do or does. If you are having problems, it could be a borked older version, or it could be you have software installed that is not working well with the new version, Core temp was a problem for me, after Windows updated, now its not and runs fine.

I waited to install Object dock and other programs like fraps, Intel tunning utility, etc. etc, till after Windows updated like three times, then I installed all the programs I like to use. No issues and its all running good now. I didn't ever have any Blue screens happen or have it shut down by its self....just lock ups when I would install Coretemp until it updated.

So far its growing on me, and its running very solid on my rig. My 7970 seems to have also lost some of the issues with OC it while running in Windows 10 and playing MWO vs. my Windows 7 install. I am running the 15.3 beta driver in both OS's, and running a higher OC in the new 10041 build and its stable. NO crashes out of game and no articacts happening so far. :D
