your happy to serve SAFE operatives have intercepted a communication between the frontlines of the clan war and the liao capital. besides the usual requests for more troops, ammo, porn and beer several bits of key information were included marik house troops will find useful in the upcoming battle.

Hail brothers of the Capellan Confederation!
Hail Loyalists of Liao!
For two weeks now I and members of the unit I belong to have been strapping on the Clans in an attempt to evaluate their abilities. Happily our timing couldn't have been more perfect.

I would have members of our Confederation consider the following and make use of the time to prepare for Tukayyid.

1. AMS: Laser vomit is alive and well in the clan. Still, they often pack LRMs and SSRMs as a secondary system. Please equip any and ALL mechs you plan on bringing to Tukayyid with AMS with the possible exception of ECM mechs you are bringing! Multiple AMS can defeat any and all Clan missile systems.

2. Drop decks: Consider your drop decks. Against the Clan 250 tons may be brought as opposed to 240. Adjust accordingly. Please bring one machine with ECM per drop deck if you own one.

3. AC's: I have found that the Clans fear and respect big AC's. If you like to leaven your builds with cannon consider building pure AC machines. 5's, UAC's and 10's make the clan weak in the knees. AC20's are harder to manage due to range constraints, still they have their place. They also provide satisfying explosions as they crit those slime!

4. Missiles...Only those with well organised units who can provide experienced missile support should bother. Small units and individuals will find that the clan ECM is...well...overwhelming.
Pure missile boats should stay home. As a secondary weapon they are also not useful. If you have the hardpoints bring SRM's instead.

5. Consumables: ALWAYS have a full deck of Arty and UAC's they can make a close fight a winning fight and I can assure you the honorless slime spawn make frequent and copious use of them.

6. Finally please make use of TS of other units if you are alone or in a small group.

Best luck,

G7

Bah!
Ac20, 2xLBX10 and 4xAC5 thats what i bring for the Clan in their face

and a message to all to repeat again:
your standard sniping/hiding tactics are very counterproductive in CW! while you are looking for the next sniping spot to shoot your weapons 1-2 times the rest of the team is dead without your support

After several months at the clan front I think I should pass two tidbits of very basic knowledge to our marikian cousins yet unfamiliar with the sister boinkers.

A: Peek-a-boo is for kids.
B: Collective aggression wins games.

I've had a lot of good games in my BLR-1S with 2LPL and 2erLL because of the range advantage. Bring the mechs you're most confident and comfortable in. More important than mech build or individual skill is coordination. Get on Marik TS and follow the drop commanders.

Good luck and have fun!
