It appears Highlanders are getting some buffs lately, so I might suggest a Heavy Metal, I used to do well in mine. And Dragon Slayer along the same lines, though it has been nerfed hard in the past, but in these quirkening days it might be decent again. The big fat three of Spongebob Sr and Jr (La Malinche and Pretty Badly correspondingly) and Boar's Head seem somewhat limited and one-sided, but I was never good with Fatlasses anyway. And also I stay away from Misery since, like it was mentioned, it has always been cheese.

I think the Hellslinger is another great choice, a hidden quirk from it is that Lava heat and damage is 100% gone from this thing-ish or at least the last time I played it. So you can stand right in the volcano of terra therma and fire your PPC's away.

Oh it also has a unique 50% reduced environmental heat meaning you are 50% more efficient so to say in hot maps but 50% less in colder maps. (luckily if you are a mech that can survive in a 1.5 hot environment you can survive easily in a 0.5
environment)


I got the hellslinger and misery and I am debating to get another hero durring this sale or just wait for hero clan mechs because I got also the huginn, pirates bane, sparky, jester, etc...

I don't even like stalkers, but yeah Misery is easily the most practical choice. Torso weapons and a ballistic, what more could you want from an assault?

Why hasn't anyone mentioned the Misery yet? It's been practically meta-proof, and always been a near-top tier mech since it's release.

I had a look at one tonight. But I couldn't find a compelling loadout. What are you running on it?

I <3 my Hellslinger. I run the same build you can run on almost any BLR: 4LPL. Some folks run big XLs with that but I run a STD335. Great PUG cash grinder.

But...Misery's a better mech.

CT-centric, it still lacks its former tanking ability, that you could pull off with jump-brawling........... before JJ nerf.


PRO: agile (for a 90tonner), jumpy (just a bit), arm-mounted arsenal of 2B(right) 3E(left) with full articulation, unique warhorn and.....oh yes, it is pink!

CON: big CT hitbox, Class I JJ still nerfed.

at 50% discount it is a decent deal, imho

I also bought a Protector. And a Grid Iron. And I'm looking longingly at the Loup De Guerre.

Might have been mentioned already, but Misery. Running mine with dual ERLL, triple ML and AC20.
Hellslinger works well too, dual erpcc and quad ML.

I tend to run a little hot.

Still messing with it but, right now am running 2 LPL, 4 MPL and 2 ASRM6s on it.
